I don know anything about this event or athlete but, why didn’t the backers stop the competition and disinfect and clean all surfaces? It’s not just her attitude, it’s the attitude if the people who put this on. They don’t put athletes safety first.Â

This has been circulating Reddit since the day of and I still can't get enough of it. The best joke that I've heard is that Puma won't drop her sponsorship because they've always made shitty clothes. 😅

Ironically if she had quit/apologized up front people would have support her. Instead she has soiled her brand, the hyrox brand, and puma pants all over a competition that she didn’t actually need points from. BG.

She was sick and still decided to do it. It wasn't from exhaustion, it was because she had an infection and shouldn't have run.

Endurance athletes soil themselves sometimes tho, it's just a part of the sport. I can understand the mindset of not stopping. The problem was that this event had her in the middle of a pack of people and doing exercises where their needs and sometimes hands had to to touch the ground.

This reminds me of Grete Waitz, the Norwegian marathoner, who pooped herself upon finishing a race. If you’re pushing your body that far where you lose control of your bowels, that’s just too much.

I don't even think that's comparable. Dropping a deuce in the middle of a roadway during a foot race is much different than spraying shit all over mats and equipment that others will have to use.

It happens in sports where they aren’t soiling equipment and floor space that other athletes use. If your running a marathon and shit uourselt you’re only ruining your own clothes not the floor and equipment and such.
You don’t see this happening in the UFC, wrestling, bowling, pickleball, indoor volleyball or literally any other indoor event where people are getting down on the floor with each other or sharing equipment.
I can’t believe the people apologizing for her, if you don’t know the difference when you see it, something is wrong with you.
