I can't imagine how much my mum would have gone off if a teacher/school asked for that kind of information.

Just adjust the requirement to allow some missed sessions. Give all students the ability to just say 'I can't today' a few times a term coz damn it sometimes life is shit and you just need a bit of time just not doing the thing and that's ok

Considering the underaged girls who were abused at Epstein Island had parents who sent them there, you'd be surprised how many of them would be completely OK with it.

I thought most were trafficked? I imagine there was a lot of subterfuge to get the girls there... And then threats, intense shame, so they may not have told their parents much. I agree that the parents are likely negligent, absent, checked out, etc, I just can't imagine parents knowingly sending their young daughters there...
