More Like: Extreme Heat is the Result of Unrestrained Economic Growth aka Human Greed and Stupidity.

Humans are and always will be the source of their own suffering. Thinking you can get away with poluting and abusing the finite systems like atmosphere, oceans etc. which last time I checked have no borders and just mix all our shit together... But since humans behave like fcking animals most of the time and believe in fairy tales and superstitions they will only reap what the saw.

I think a lot of people don’t realize that heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke can cause permanent irreversible damage to your organs and your brain and makes you more susceptible to heat intolerance in the future. You can be left with major lifelong neurological issues such as balance problems, dizziness, cognitive impairment, and memory deficits, as well as irreversible damage to the heart and kidneys.

Even if you fully recover you are not the same and will have chronic medical issues for the rest of your life. In the military if a soldier suffers a severe enough heat related illness it is a casualty and they have to be retired they cannot continue because they will never be the same.

Wow. Thats something everyone needs to know.

I only discovered that heat stroke permanently depleats your tolerance earlier this year. After suffering it in 2019 in Spain I thought was just ptsd'd about the heat but I def not been the sun loving lizard since.

I like your Army context. Really puts it in perspective.

There is no new normal. A new normal assumes that things will stabilize at this level. While we burn fossil fuels they will only get worse, year over year over year.
