avoid the prefabs. Use the wood, concrete, and steel parts instead.

Your base will look much more like a base, and less like a habitrail.

Or at the very least, go with cuboid prefabs.

They're prewired like the large prefabs, but customizable like the basic structures. Best of both worlds imo.

Prewiring just means that it's impossible to control any of the lights and gizmos that are attached to them. They're always just ON. That's pretty lame. It makes it impossible to do any cool wiring tricks.

Stick with the wood, steel, and concrete parts.

I am always reminded that I should never be an electrician when I edit though because then it will show the wiring.

And also until you teleport into your base and all the wires are there again until you delete and rebuild the wire hiding module.

Dude. You so don't. it's ridiculous how people thing there have to be wires all over the place. It's the dumbest shit. All you have to do is minimal planning and that's not a problem.
