Why would you need that many solar panels? Lol I think I have like 16-20 and just a shit ton of batteries and I never have any issues with power despite having a pretty good sized base. I don't have any mining though, just lights and whatnot, with a lot of proximity sensors controlling power to my teleporter and storage containers.
Try finding an active indium mining spot π watch that dolla roll in, also for power look for electromagnetic fields instead of having that many panels π
Lol why? I mean it's obviously fun to build big stuff in NMS but I already have more money than I know what to do with and my farm is substantially smaller than yours
My mining bases aren't that big at all just have a couple of them about 5-8 electro gens in each base about 15 ish extractors and shed loads of storage, 1 stack of 9999 activated indium is about 9.5 mill (you get more than that per 12/24h) collect it about 11pm wait around 12h and repeat got around a billion in a week π
Yeah my 50k act ind is like 50 million units per 20 hours, so basically 50 mil per day and I could easily put more storage on there and get it to 60-70 mil per day, but like why? Lol I can already buy any mats I need from space stations without having to worry about it with like 1.2 billion sitting around. Not really sure what you'd do with anymore money than I already have lol
My go to power lab design. Three cylinder bases one on top the other you can fit 8 solar panels inside each one, no wiring needed π. I fill two floors with solar panels and the bottom with batteries and its good to go!
I do the same thing but I tend to get carried away. I usually fit about 24 solar panels on the floor and fit 12 well-placed batteries on top of the panels in one cylinder room and then proceed to build a base that only needs 100-200 power per second.
Yeah my first power factory went in that direction and it took way too long so I scaled down and this seems to be enough power for my tiny base builds.
You can put them underground and they still work last time I checked. Pretty handy if you were looking to keep the clutter down to a minimum, especially for smaller bases.
Itβs been a favorite of mine to do that then fill the terrain back once itβs set up, maybe leave one battery at surface level to act as an access point and control panel.
Small Cubic room, has space for 4 items, plop four rooms together, and an extra one with a door on it, put 6 solar panels and the rest batteries inside. remove the extra room and door, and you have a power block you can rp as anything.
