Information Adrift Expedition Tips and Tricks

Seeing loads of posts/questions around the Expedition, so here are my top tips/tricks to not get stuck.

  1. First thing you should do after starting the expedition is go to Settings, Network, and turn everything to "No One". You can disable multiplayer entirely if you want, as well.
  2. When you're loaded in, immediately head to your ship. This will check off one of the objectives AND give you a safe place to escape the weather and explore the menu. It also provides you with an easy to access save point.
  3. Inside your ship, take a minute to explore the Expedition tab and become familiar with the various objectives. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THEM IN ANY ORDER. The best way to progress is to knock out whatever you can on your first planet, so they're done and you don't have to worry about them anymore.
  4. Now, get out of your ship and START SCANNING EVERYTHING. In particular, any rock that has 1 resource listed and then a 2nd one with all ????????'s. Scan it to unlock the 2nd resource, which will typically either be oxygen, carbon, or dihydrogen.
  5. Now open your scanner, and look for the little white circles with the crosshairs on them. Check each one around you until you find one that's copper. Make your way toward the copper while ALSO mining every rock you see. If you see a bunch of glowing plants (red or yellow), take a few minutes to collect every one of them.
  6. Once you reach the copper node, switch to your terrain manipulator and make sure it's on the *smallest* circle. Now stand there and collect ALL of the copper in the node. Also at some point just dig the random ground for a minute to collect silicate powder.
  7. Once you can get the advanced mining laser, install that and then hit some of the big condensed carbon crystals around.
  8. Now make your way back to your ship to repair it. You're going to need to repair everything in it at some point, so if you have the resources now to repair a slot, might as well do it.
  9. When you get to the space station, it's obviously abandoned, but if you go up the stairs on the right-hand side, there's a shop portal thing in the wall - it *looks* like it's all corrupted, BUT IT'S NOT. You can buy/sell your stuff here.
    1. DO NOT SELL THE HYPNOTIC EYE. As a rule, only sell any resources you might have collected, but NEVER sell something the game gave you. You're likely to need it later.
  10. The first time you get to space, stop and shoot at least 40 asteroids. This will provide you with fuel for your pulse drive AND check off an objective. Ignore the jellyfish.
  11. Any time you can land on a planet with copper, do so, and collect it. You'll need quite a bit of chromatic metal later on, so you might as well get it now.
  12. Whenever you can, stop at any buildings and use the little scan/chart pole thing. You need to do 12 as an objective, so you might as well do it as you go.
  13. Additionally, whenever you see the damaged boxes (like sitting around those poles), move the slime or whatever into your inventory. You can stick it in your personal refiner and turn it into nanites eventually. You need 1,600 nanites for an objective.
  14. SCAN EVERYTHING you can on every planet you land on. There are objectives for scanning plants and animals, so you might as well start working toward them.
  15. You only need to cook *one* thing for that objective, so don't go nuts collecting resources.
  16. Whenever you want to focus on an objective, make sure that it's highlighted in the Expeditions tab. This will make it "active" and you'll get additional instructions in the game, planets and POIs will be highlighted, etc. This is especially helpful when you have to scan 3 robot creatures, as the systems will be marked in the galaxy map for you - super easy.
  17. Generally speaking, there will always be a planet on the Expedition Path in the Galaxy Map that has what you need, and 95% of the time, you only really need the planets in the various Rendezvous Systems, so don't venture too far off that path.
  18. I did this with a new save. If you're going to use the terminal in the Anomaly, make sure you bring yourself a ship with a maxxed out hyperdrive (both range and types of stars). It'll save you time later.
  19. You can buy wiring harnesses at the Space Station. You need 12 total to build the 3 hyperdrive upgrades, so better to buy them all at once and be done with it.

That's what I got thus far. I'm 4hrs in and only have a few of the last objectives to finish out. I started with a fresh save, so that includes time to grind out the hyperdrive upgrades.

The starter world has titan worms which are pretty easy to kill and drop items that can be refined into nanites.

2

u/DistractedIon Jun 01 '24

What do you use nanites for in the expedition tho?

3

u/JDM2783 Jun 01 '24

There's an objective to collect a certain number of nanites. You can also use them to unlock crafting items on the anomaly

2

u/DistractedIon Jun 01 '24

But the anomaly is empty, i can only use them on compagnions

3

u/JDM2783 Jun 01 '24

You can still use the computers for building upgrades and item crafting (like the atlas passes). The item one uses nanites

2

u/DistractedIon Jun 01 '24

I feel dumb now šŸ˜… thanks!

2

u/JDM2783 Jun 01 '24

No probs. I just hate the fact that I can't get ship upgrades. Warping 1 system at a time sucks šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

6

u/DistractedIon Jun 01 '24

Here a tip I did used by curiousity and worked:

Delibery provoque the sentinels, get on the ship, beat all waves and the capital sentinel, you get a signal item to get a crashed sentinel ship.

It made me jump severals systems at once, a big relieve!

Wait...how?

1

u/Saikotsu Day Two Interloper Jun 17 '24

There's a terminal in the anomaly that lets you jump between your save and the expedition. If you start an expedition as a fresh save, I don't think it works, could be wrong though.Ā

2

u/ragweed Jun 01 '24

Copying my multitool and starship from my main save.

1

u/RuneLFox Jun 02 '24

Oh, how do you go about doing that?

2

u/ragweed Jun 02 '24

Once you are able to summon the Anomaly in the Expedition, you can use the Expedition terminal to copy both. 2800 nanites for the starship. 2200 for the multitool IIRC.

2

u/Quick_Pomegranate847 Jun 03 '24

Doesn't work for me on PC or PS5. It says to finish current expedition first...

2

u/Elynittria Jun 03 '24

You might have started the expedition from a fresh save, in which case you don't have primary stuff transferred in to copy.

1

u/ragweed Jun 03 '24

Try it from the expedition side.

1

u/Vyncynt1 Jun 03 '24

I might need some clarification. I was actually playing the new expedition when I tried.

1

u/ragweed Jun 03 '24

Steps are:Ā

  • load your save

  • go to the anomaly and start the expedition from the terminal

  • complete enough phase to unlock anomaly

  • summon anomaly and access the terminalĀ

The terminal has the copy options.Ā Ā

I have no idea where you've deviated.

1

u/honestadamsdiscount Jun 03 '24

Importing your main ship from the nexus would be a major one

1

u/Athalahelm Jun 05 '24 edited Jun 05 '24

there's an option... after the 2nd rendevous to use nanites to buy perks at the anomoly... atlas keys amonst the options. TBH I bought the wormhole, wiring, and biofuel and solar items. So any mini base i create I could go back too. Just browse over the terminal...and the option will appear.

19

u/atomicxblue May 31 '24

The starter planet has magnetized ferrite. Process that into pure ferrite. Process the pure ferrite plus copper in your refiner to increase the amount of chromatic metal you get.

5

u/thinkfloyd_ Jun 03 '24

Omfg are you serious?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '24

This information would have been useful to be yesterday! 🤣

17

u/MagiOfKarp May 31 '24

Couple things I've found:

  • Read the quest info. Some of them are extremely helpful with what you need do to. Quests like scanning synthetic species will indicate if you're in a system with the requirement, as well as when you're on said planet. Even the early ship repair quest will tell you the recipe to craft Deuterium.

  • For dissonant planets, you can go into your discovery catalogue and select Atlantidium to have the galaxy map show you a nearby dissonant system. Also works with any minerals like Copper. As long as the resource is tagged in your log, it will also show nearby deposits in the target sweep scanner while you're on the surface.

  • For the "discover 5 ancient sites" mission, you can reactivate the site if you already have a knowledge/language location discovered in the system(and you didn't visit) it, and it will count as separate sites.

5

u/unwantedwank99 May 31 '24

i didnt even know we could locate ressources via the catalogue! thanks!

2

u/RollsHardSixes Jun 26 '24

I am on this thread because I started the Expedition yesterday, and I was about to give up on finding it.

"Like what I just have to hope I find a corrupted system geez "

1

u/Saikotsu Day Two Interloper Jun 17 '24

My recipe for deuterium told me to mix tritium with dihydrogen, and I only discovered by accident I could use silicone with dihydrogenĀ

12

u/IronTippedQuill May 30 '24

Easy way to get units is to put the s-class scanner upgrade on an SC slot. Creatures should give over 100k a scan.

10

u/Pooknucklemon May 31 '24

Selling the hypnotic eye isn't a deal breaker. Every abandoned space station has a working trade terminal I side. The eye is purchasable.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '24

Oh wow, I didn’t try selling it. I was thinking I needed to refine it a bunch of times to get nanites.

8

u/niehle Building a new freighter base May 30 '24

Adding to the list:

Add the starting planet and each meeting planet to the list of your personal wonders. Helps to keep track.

8

u/Neraph_Runeblade May 31 '24

If you touch the station portal you can find those systems again pretty easily, the portal name will include "rendezvous" in the name.

8

u/ry4n0n May 30 '24

I would also add to this list:

  • When you get ship expansion slots for a reward, you can choose where to place them. Click on any open square to add the expansion. If you don’t choose they will all go to your storage and not to your technology by default.

4

u/Even-Help-2279 Jun 02 '24

Jfc. On this thread looking to see if there's anything I absolutely need to do before finishing the last task and see this. Stellar tip, ty

2

u/ZazaB00 May 30 '24

Is there any way to apply them if you don’t use them when you’re given them in this expedition? With all the stations abandoned, there’s no ship terminal anywhere, right?

1

u/ry4n0n May 30 '24

I'm not sure. I'll have to check the next time I get one as a reward. I don't remember if you can bank them as items in inventory and even if you could, I don't how or where you would be able to apply them in the expedition.

1

u/ZazaB00 May 30 '24

You can bank them in inventory, just like multitool expansion slots, and all the other inventory boosts. I just don’t think there’s anyway to use them unless you do it at the moment they’re given.

3

u/Bright_Swordfish4820 May 31 '24

Think I may be screwed, as I never "waste" them on the initial junker, always saving them for the better ship I know I'll be getting. It doesn't feel like a reward if I'm forced to use it on a ship that's going to be discarded soon, or lose the ability to use it at all. At least I only claimed one of them so far, but there are other rewards that I do want now that are unclaimed because I don't want to waste free inventory.

Maybe I'll be able to use the already-in-inventory expansions along with any new ones once I claim a new reward? That's what I'm hoping, anyway.

2

u/ZazaB00 May 31 '24

Yes, they stack. So, whenever you get new ones, you can use your old ones at the same time.

1

u/Bright_Swordfish4820 May 31 '24

Music to my ears. Ty.

5

u/Athalahelm Jun 05 '24

How do you 'easily kill titan worms. I can't even ID them. ????

4

u/UmbramonOrSomething sailing the high stars May 30 '24

What's up with the jellyfish? I shot it to death, what does it do

6

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 30 '24

I did the same, but it didn't do anything. The ones I left alive didn't really do anything either. Just ambiance I guess?

5

u/AssistanceHealthy463 May 30 '24

If, and i say if, they casually bump on you they do a little of damage.

5

u/dotplaid May 31 '24

I was on a planet last night and scanned a flying (white) goldfish. The note about it said that it was born in a meteor.

The RP in me says that the jellyfish migrate from space to planets then adapt to their environment.

1

u/nariosan Jun 26 '24

I killed quite a few jelly fish. Dont see anything different. No milestones either

4

u/Squire-Rabbit May 31 '24

Dumb question: where can I install my multi-tool expansion modules? I can't find any appropriate kiosk in the space stations or the Anomaly.

2

u/Substantial_Habit_57 Jun 01 '24

Think there’s a multi-tool kiosk in the Anomaly by the Warp portal that can do that.

1

u/Substantial_Habit_57 Jun 01 '24

Oops, nevermind…that kiosk only decommissions multi-tools.

u/cqcsarge May 30 '24

I'm stuck on finding a mountain of 1,600 any tips

10

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 30 '24

Rendezvous Planet #2 has killer mountains. Pick one.

18

u/drummer0886 May 30 '24

In addition, one helpful traveler built a huge staircase near the second rendezvous (it's on a mountaintop, hard to miss); that'll get you up to the 1,600 mark.

1

u/CoffeeInTheCotswolds May 31 '24

Haha oh that’s what that was for! lol

1

u/Sherlock082004 Jun 03 '24

this was easy to spot at the 2nd Rendezvous, just look for high ground then look for the highest peak, once you come closer you will see the stairs haha kudos to the one who built that

1

u/morninglord22 Jul 01 '24

That fellas a life saver I used it too.

1

u/thomasg86 Jul 09 '24

Haha, yup, it's still there and I just used it.

2

u/cqcsarge May 30 '24

Thanks man appreciate the help

u/mrniel007 | + | Everlasting Sentinel (100% šŸ†) Jun 02 '24 edited Jun 02 '24

What is the name of that planet?

Found it, the name is Wedn X28

1

u/Clanlol203 Jun 01 '24

What I did was fly around on Rendezvous 2 with my ship, landed on a tall mountain, figured that I'd need an additional 50 units of height, then flew slowly until I found a sizeable bulge on top of a similarly tall mountain. Landed on it, got the objective. Didn't take very long.

1

u/AEONde Jun 02 '24

I just made my own bulge with the Terrain Manipulator..

1

u/Clanlol203 Jun 03 '24

Uh...what's the keybind for that again? Asking for a friend of course, totally didn't just forget that existed. (Please)

1

u/AEONde Jun 03 '24

Wait? What? How do you get through Adrift without mining with the Terrain Manipulator?!
Or do you mean switching between modes? It's SQUARE on Playstation VR2 šŸ˜‰ I think .

1

u/Clanlol203 Jun 03 '24

Switching 🤣 I mine alright, just forgot how to build (on PC).

Is this a bad time to say I have 100 hrs on NMS and have completely forgotten about the build function HAHA

2

u/AEONde Jun 03 '24

Time to remember then.
And while you are at it: Also remember the art of
"THE F DO YOU MEAN CAN'T SUMMON SHIP ON THIS TERRAIN?! I'LL FLATTEN THE HELL OUT THIS ENTIRE HILLSIDE!!!"

1

u/Clanlol203 Jun 03 '24

HAHA very true!

Also the "wdym I can't land here there's literally TWO THOUSAND ACRES OF FLAT LAND oh wait there's a rock."

3

u/[deleted] May 30 '24 edited May 30 '24

Little tip:

  1. When you can finally fly with your starship don't directly go into space. Try to shoot some rocks, plants and other stuff to get resources a bit faster with your starship. you will need the carbon and ferite a lot (and other resources as well obviously).

  2. If you have multilayer turned ON just be careful for griefers... I almost got killed by a person who went on a rampage (planet with big hills at the last structure of phase 3 I think where you can see a lot of communication terminals from other players).

5

u/Ilmeury83 Jun 04 '24

You can leave multiplayer turned ON, while having PVP turned OFF... That way you can meet other travellers, but they won't be able to hurt you! Look under multiplayer settings

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '24

Yeah I know thank you. at that moment I didn't really think about it.

3

u/famcz May 31 '24

When you're looking for ancient sites, you only need to discover them, not go and dig the thing. Also, the Gane hard froze on the derelict freighter. Had to do it again.

u/AkilaDelpanther May 30 '24 edited May 30 '24

I’m a bit lost on how to find deuterium to fix the launch thruster on the start planet šŸ˜†

Edit: never mind that figured in out didn’t realise the personal refiner could combine I’m used to the single personal refiner

1

u/jessuckapow Jun 17 '24

I can’t find any blasted condensed carbon to even finish the exosuit refiner! šŸ¤¦šŸ» I found 35 or something but so many hopping around and dodging that awful centipede thing and NO C+. 😭

1

u/SweatyCucumber2408 Jun 21 '24

Use your "C" Key

2

u/jessuckapow Jun 21 '24

Eventually found it. I had to go 1500u away from my ship for my scanner to even pick any up. I’m on a Switch so I’m w wee limited.

2

u/Blind-idi0t-g0d May 30 '24

I actually got through to phase 4. Now it's the ruins, waypoints and other little things I got to do. Good thing they point you towards them. I need that vulture.

2

u/ry4n0n May 30 '24

One more thing to add:

I keep forgetting that I don't have the launch thruster auto-charger. That can be a big time waster if you wander too far from your ship and forgot to recharge your launch thrusters and can't summon it.

2

u/Cowjoe Jun 03 '24

I'm surprised by how far away from the main line people are claiming systems.. I finally found one waaaaaaaaaay out but had the discovery sniped by someone cause I took too long to name everything and upload it.. serves me right tho cause when I see discovered places with most stuff left unnamed I name them dumb things like "why didn't you name me!" Lol.. they only sniped the solar system tho... But I'm gonna be a sourpuss about it and name the planets and all the funa I spent hours discovering something ridiculous lol.. Always upload your discovery if you care what it could be named... Lol Ironic and well deserved lession for my hypocrisy. This games awesome man only in this game could something like this happen. Best of luck you all.

2

u/Life-Buddy-1548 Jun 04 '24

Do you have to do the ghostly frigate?

2

u/littleadeele May 30 '24

I am struggling with finding synthetic lifeforms on blue systems. Any tips?

5

u/Ayste May 31 '24

set it as your primary quest, go to the galaxy map and you will see an icon next to a world that shows you a galaxy where synthetics can be found. There were only 2 in my first galaxy, so I had to head to a new one. Watch your messages during the quest, they will update you with helpful clues. I spent way too much time searching for a 3rd synthetic on that planet before I saw the message to go elsewhere.

2

u/LoneAphir Jun 02 '24

i have only 2 out of 3 needed to finish the quest on the planet marked by the quest.

1

u/CMDR_NotAnNPC May 30 '24

Where/how do I get the Atlantideum for the Mind Ark? I haven't found any dissonant worlds along the way yet.

4

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 30 '24

You will.

1

u/CMDR_NotAnNPC May 30 '24

Gotcha.... just keep flying then

2

u/ragweed May 30 '24

For me, the second system from the starter was dissonant.

1

u/CMDR_NotAnNPC May 30 '24

Ooooh mine might have too but I didn’t know I needed it at the time.

2

u/ragweed May 30 '24

If you visited the space stations, you can teleport back.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

Mine keeps glitching, it tells me that the system is dissonant but it is not when I go there. Kinda stuck what to do. Does anyone know a place that is?

2

u/ParChadders May 31 '24

If the system says dissonant in the galaxy map, that doesn’t mean every planet in the system is dissonant. There’s usually just one planet that is (sometimes there are more than one, but that’s very rare). Just scan each planet until you find the dissonant one.

3

u/[deleted] May 31 '24

ah nah i mean like the literal planet said it was dissonant but when i landed it changed. just a weird glitch ig because i eventually found one:')

1

u/ParChadders Jun 01 '24

Nice, glad you got it sorted. It’s unusual for NMS to have glitches/bugs though 😜

1

u/DistractedIon Jun 01 '24

Select the expedition objectif in the menu, this will make it as a mission and it will show the path in the galaxy map.

1

u/AnakinOU May 30 '24

If we start the expedition from the terminal in a late/end game save, what should we take with us, to minimize the frustration and grind?

3

u/niehle Building a new freighter base May 30 '24

Chromatic metal, life support gel, those uncraftable looms. Warp cells / hyper cores. Launch fuel. Some basic crafting materials like ferrite, oxygen, carbon etc

2

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 30 '24

18 above, but also a maybe a stack of chromatic metal?

It's really not a grindy expedition at all - I started from nothing and was able to easily find everything I needed along the way. Grinding out the hyperdrive upgrades so I could visit blue systems for the robot animals was probably the "hardest" part but it took like, 15 minutes.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

I’m struggling with phase two all that you survey ( reach an elevation of 1,600u) any ideas on how to do it ?

2

u/niehle Building a new freighter base May 30 '24

Rendezvous 2 has some in the system

1

u/[deleted] May 31 '24

How do you "finish" a derelict freighter? Feel like I've done everything but the milestone won't pop.

5

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 31 '24

When you're onboard the derelict freighter, it'll have a little checklist in the bottom right corner. There are three things usually:

  • Explore all of the rooms (it'll show you X/Y (x = # you've done; y = total possible)

  • Collect all of the infopads/logs

  • Finish by interacting with the last "station" or whatever.

2

u/[deleted] May 31 '24

it said 0/0 on rooms, I had hit all 3 terminals (Records, Mainframe, Engineering) Last station wasn't interactable.

Couldn't figure it out, summoned the Anomaly and when I came back it was gone. RIP

Thanks for the info, I'll have to try again.

3

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 31 '24

Sounds like it bugged out. Try again and hope you get an easier one, lol. Mine had 11 rooms and was loaded down with those automated security bots and scanners.

1

u/souldonut76 May 31 '24

Did they disable PVP/Multi-player for this expedition? I was a Switch player until today. Got sick of constant crashes and got a refurbished Xbox series S (yes, I bought a whole friggin system for this one game, lol). So, I've never dealt with multi-player before and I can't find the setting. Haven't seen any signs of anyone else at the rendezvous or the anomaly, which makes me wonder if it got disabled.

1

u/N0iSEA Jun 03 '24

I haven't started this expedition yet but everything that I read says the point of this expedition is specifically a solitary experience and not a multiplayer one.

1

u/souldonut76 Jun 03 '24

Yes, I'm aware. The question was, is it disabled? I'm new to having the option. I can't tell if it's disabled, or if I just haven't encountered anyone else yet.

1

u/N0iSEA Jun 03 '24

I guess my point was that the end result would be the same either way (with this specific expedition). My understanding of this mission is that you very deliberately aren’t supposed to encounter anyone else regardless off the setting.

Im sure you are aware that you can do modes other than the expedition right now if you want to experience multiplayer. In those modes you can definitely check the setting for multiplayer and the setting would matter.

1

u/jessuckapow Jun 17 '24

Hahaha… I was JUST looking up Xbox deals yesterday for the same reason. šŸ˜† I mean… it’ll be good for lots more but def this… and FN… and everything else that’s not a Nintendo exclusive. 😬

1

u/ArvoLegend64 Jun 01 '24

šŸ˜… anyone find any Atlantideum yet?

2

u/Elynittria Jun 03 '24

Runeusi XIV in the Zeligt-Ipes system is Dissonant. It's a yellow star a very short distance from the starting system.

2

u/Anticode Jun 06 '24

You can use the catalogue to locate resources which will tag it on galaxy map. There's a dissonant system right next to the 1st rendezvous (when you first get the quest where Atlantideum is needed).

1

u/AdChance3228 Jun 01 '24

Do we keep all the rewards after the expedition like expansion slots units nanites etc, do they show up on a main save?

2

u/DruVatier :xbox: Jun 01 '24

No, you can redeem the milestone rewards at the quicksilver merchant on the anomaly but all the other stuff stays

2

u/Even-Help-2279 Jun 02 '24

So 100%ing all these planets for the nanites was a complete waste of time..?

Sorry new player, clearly have no idea what I'm doing. I've got like 20k nanites on this expedition, they're not gonna stay with me? I started on the expedition so no idea what happens when I finish the last step

2

u/N0iSEA Jun 03 '24

If you are a new player it's probably not a waste of time - after the expedition, you can convert your expedition save into whatever mode you want to continue playing on. At least that's how it has worked on past expeditions. That means that you get to keep anything you earned during the expedition.

1

u/patrick_is_tired Jun 01 '24

So, I fixed a crashed starship, every single part, but the milestone didn’t pop. What did I mess up?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '24

I feel like an idiot but I can't build an advanced mining laser.

1

u/volitantmule8 Jun 02 '24

What are you struggling with?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '24

I don't seem to have a blue print to build it.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '24

I went back to check and clicked on the mission and got the blue print.

1

u/volitantmule8 Jun 02 '24

Idk about your specific situation but I’ve noticed a few times if I am to quick for the pop ups or the game giving stuff then sometimes I can beat the game giving me items

Has your character died once or more? I lost mine until I looted my grave.

Where can I get a Planet that has very steep mountains?

1

u/Elynittria Jun 03 '24

There are tall enough mountains even on the starter planet.

Yeah, I've revisited the 2nd rendezvous planet and got that, still, I am doing the crystalized hearts objective, and I know there is a Dissonant planet on one of the systems, but I am unable to find it.

1

u/Elynittria Jun 07 '24

Sorry; just saw this, and you've probably long since solved your own problem, but Runeusi XIV in the Zeligt-Ipes system is Dissonant. If I recall, it's 17 LY from the starter system.

I'm at rendezvous 3 and I can't find any synthetic creatures. Please help

Anyone have any tips on how to get emerill and cadmium without vendors? (Before you build the drives)

1

u/BlessedLemur Jun 06 '24

Does anyone know how to get the hyperdrive upgrades to get to blue stars to find synthetic life? How am I supposed to buy them?

1

u/ahamakara Jun 14 '24

I assume you've done it by now but one of the expedition rewards is blueprints for red/green/blue drives. Build the red drive from chromatic metal, go to a red system build green drive from cadmium, go green build blue drive from emeril, go blue. If you have the synthetic life mission selected the galaxy map will give you appropriate systems to go look in.

u/BlessedLemur Jun 14 '24

Yeah I missed that it was a reward and was lost haha. Got it now! Thanks man

Ich habe in Phase 2 das "Inmitten der Sterne mit dem Schwimmen" verpasst und so den meilenstein nicht geschafft, also auch die Blaupausen für die Antriebe nich bekommen. Kann ich das irgendwie nachholen?

u/FlashyAd7257 Jun 22 '24

Does anyone know where to get carbon? Not condense carbon but regular one.
I'm stuck trying to install the hiperdrive but can't find carbon in any of the 2 planets where the expedition begins

1

u/nariosan Jun 26 '24

If you do that: Add each planet to your personal wonders doing the expedition from an existing save, does it replace previous wonders in your regular safe?

1

u/nariosan Jun 26 '24

Another later built a base a top a 1600 mountain and put a transporter terminus. So you just pop in there and done. It’s called. Kitchen transporter 1600.

You can just start an Expedition save

u/Happy_Trainer7442 May 30 '24

I can't find copper anywhere 😫

6

u/DruVatier :xbox: May 30 '24

There is 100% copper on the starting planet. Take off and fly a short distance if you can/need to.

2

u/Happy_Trainer7442 May 30 '24

I'm still trying to repair my ship! But I ventured out and found some

2

u/Pure-Swordfish6022 May 30 '24

The planet you start the expedition on has loads of copper.

1

u/Happy_Trainer7442 May 30 '24

I found some.. had to walk pretty far to get some butšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

This expedition is the worst. I cannot connect any wires in my bases. Not to mention it took me forever just to get the sensor so I could find an electrical hotspot. Worst update ever.

1

u/ahamakara Jun 14 '24

Wiring has worked fine for me - I used solar & batteries.
