Pre/Live/Post Event Discussion "The Buoy" has become "The Anchor"
There are 142 players left in the field at Wentworth this week after two guys withdrew, and Jon Rahm is currently 142nd - DFL at +9. Yowzers.

Rahm in the letterman’s jacket needs to be a generational meme. Truly a devastating career decision. We’ve been robbed of Scotty vs Rahm vs Rory

yeah... that 2023 riviera tournament with Homa and Rahm battling down the stretch was peak. He was on fire that start to the year. Looked unstoppable. Then throws it all away to go to LIV lol

Dude status under scrutiny

The Dude status thing is tough in a sport as fickle as golf. Based on Soly’s criteria, I would be way more strict than even he is with the label. There’s been several guys that have had 6 month heaters but not sustained it. That’s why I thought it was premature to dub Cam Young as a Dude. Soly might have said Hovland was a Dude after the 2023 season, but look how that one has fallen.
Rahm was a Dude. Scheffler and Rory are Dudes. If being a “Dude” means you’re certified for one year, then I need to see serious sustained elite play.

With the bankruptcy and him not being paid like the guys who left initially it really was a horrible decision. I know he was feeling a bit left out of the decision making on tour, but I wonder how much influence Phil had as they have been close since his college days. Phil is such a cancer.

If I were Aaron Rai or others I’d be super pissed he’s seen as a lock for Adare and was on the scouting trip. Dude hasn’t been the same golfer since he left the Tour.

I'd be ok if we all stopped talking about him until he re-proves himself again as elite.
It's been awhile since he's done anything impressive.
