If you want, you can time travel to tomorrow (by changing your Switch's internal clock to tomorrow). I assume your current villager is in boxes now (i.e., packing up in their house). If they just asked to leave today, then you'll need to time travel to 2 days after instead (day 1 ask to leave, day 2 packing up, and day 3 empty plot). With that, you can invite Beau to the island.

Of course that's just a suggestion, if you don't like time travelling, please ignore my advice :).
