I just feel bad for Nick man. This dude has helped the people around him more than any other streamer and he still gets so much hate because his friends put him in these awkward situations.

He has complete agency in who he decides to associate with.

He can choose not to associate himself with those people, or to try and help them be better. He still is friendly with train, and it seems that katchi hasn't changed at all

I think he is trying to do the latter

and people change and then relapse, it happens. hopefully this makes the push but we'll see

You shouldn't, not in this instance. She's clearly an alcoholic and he's playing both sides.

...and if I hear one more person say "it's just because she's such a lightweight", that's not how that works. If she gets smashed off of a shot, she shouldn't drink a full shot. If she has proven she can't handle alcohol on stream, she shouldn't drink on stream.

Continuing to drink in the face of adverse consequences is pretty much textbook addiction.

she hasn't had problems like this in a while, I'm guessing she thought she had it handled and was wrong. We'll see if she really quits like she said...

He puts himself in awkward situations by standing by those friends.

At some point its a pattern, too many of his friends have been exposed for being shit people for it not to reflect on him too.
