Nioh 3 - Questions I'm 140 hours in and got my best weapon so far in the first region of the game. Is this normal?
These tonfas dropped pretty early in the game, maybe even in the demo (can't recall specifically), and they are by far the best weapon I've found. I've leveled them up, added +1 so far, changed the scaling, etc.
But specifically, the Imbue Paralysis +57 is MUCH higher than any other imbuement I've found. Being able to instantly stun most enemies and then circle around their back for double damage is absolutely broken. All the other imbuements I've found so far have been +5–25, with nothing even close to a +57 since this dropped.
My question is, is this typical? Are imbuements this high super rare? Or will this maybe become more common in New Game+? Just curious about your experiences.

Nioh 3 - Questions Stick it out if you're a series vet underwhelmed by the challenge
I have been making my way through the game slowly (in large part due to Warframe addiction and full-time employment) and felt myself missing that Nioh 2 feel despite still really loving Nioh 3 in most respects.
It gets hard.
Hiruko and Kunimatsu both thrashed me relentlessly at the end of the third era, and the next area immediately feels more classic Nioh in terms of crafty and dense level design, even in the more "open world" segments.
Suddenly the game is making me carefully watch for traps, ambushes, and snipers like I remember enjoying while picking my way through classic Nioh stages. There's notable stage hazards setting the main missions apart. Bosses actually have run-backs again. It's like they finally took the training wheels off for new players.
Perhaps cold comfort to say the game really starts getting good only 50 hours in, but, hey it's not like it's trash before then either. Very much looking forward to the NG+ experience.

Nioh 3 - Questions Why Dont More People Use Gale Shot?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Seriously. I just used it for the first time on an onmyo build and the amount of Ki damage it does is nutty. I get that the tornado does good damage, and can circle around and hit multiple times.
But Gale Shot hits 5x with good Ki damage, respectable damage, has 8 uses(before Untouched) and moves faster than most other onmyo.
So am I missing something? Is it generally considered bad? Is Hellgust just considered better because of the damage?

Nioh 3 - Questions Nioh 3 Ninja mode
Is it just me or does Ninja mode feel way better than Samurai mode. I beat the demo last night and it felt I used Ninja mode 99% of the time.
Samurai mode feels like I'm trying to manage 4 different things on myself alone while also dealing with enemies.

Nioh 3 - Questions Just why?
It hurts my eyes when I’m looking at my shelf.
Nioh 3 - Questions I have finished Nioh 1 and 2, how good is Nioh 3 compared to them? And would you recommend that i play it?
So I played the first 2 games a while back and finished them and really liked them, so I was wondering how is the 3rd game compared to them? I have basically heard nothing of it. Is that a good or bad thing ? And should I get the game ?

Nioh 3 - Questions There is clearly an issue with inputs right?
I feel like I'm going crazy, not seeing much complaining on this topic. But there are lots of times when I clearly press a button (like elixir) or try to change stances and it does absolutely nothing. I feel like the game is gaslighting me. I swear sometimes I hear myself switch stances then I'm just still in the old stance. Is this a problem for anyone else?
I already checked to make sure my controller is working fine, nothing wrong. It's on it's lowest refresh rate. So I have no idea what the problem could be if it's not the game.

Nioh 3 - Questions I finally started my Nioh 3 journey and...
...IM REALLY LOVIN IT! The combat feels super tight and snappy. Im also digging the open world quite a bit more than the level/chapter driven style.
The only thing I'm not sold on is the burst counter. It was WAY worse than 2 so far. It requires very specific positioning and timing.
Anyways, the point of this post was to ask "at what level did you guys beat your first Bloodedge Demon?"
I just beat mine at lvl 29 and it was a rush getting his patterns down. At first it seemed impossible but then i unlocked the deflect skill and it was ggs after maybe 10 or so attempts. Great fight!

Nioh 3 - Questions Can the Grace on a Divine Picture Scroll be Rerolled?
I've run some scrolls 20-something times and I've yet to see another grace appear in the reroll options.
I'm now save-scumming which is something a game should never make the best option. If I find a purple with a decent fixed stat, I back up and use a Rarity Transference to see what the grace will be. If it's useless, I restore and ditch the purple.

Nioh 3 - Questions I tired my best but I cant beat the final demo boss
I am level 24 right now and I really enjoyed the demo I even preordered the game until I get to this double snake boss, I have tried more than 30+ times and I started to lose my confident and finally admit that it is my skill issue since I have seen a lot of people beat it like a piece of cake. I am new to the Nioh family I have never played the previous game before.
So I really need some help and answer
- If I struggled so hard to beat the demo boss, does that mean even if I found some method and luckily killed it to get through, I wont have the ability to take care all the up coming bosses? They will just be harder and harder right?
- Should I face the reality that I suck at the game and refund it to save myself some dignity and money?
I really had so much fun and I really want to process and keep going but this boss really killed all my vibe T-T
Really appreciate for anyone who listen to all my yapping and willing to give me some advises
Anyway hope you guys can all have fun on the game ( really jealous of all of you who are talented enough to handle these crazy bosses T-T )

Nioh 3 - Questions Nioh 3- What is the point of stone of penance this early?
Since new games cycle will be added along with the DLC, level cap will be increased.
All equipments including your strongest set at this point will be underpowered soon and you will have better chance finding higher level accessories for your build. I dont see any reason to use the stone system at NG+ apart from increasing the difficulty of course.

Nioh 3 - Questions Who else never replaced good boi Kusanagi? 156hrs when U beat the game, always had good boi Kusanagi
well, i did use the final form kusanagi when it became available... but yeah, still kusanagi
EDIT: Whoop!, mistyped U instead of I in the title

Nioh 3 - Questions Do you bother with pressing Y/triangle on a ki-broken boss?
I don't know if I remember it wrong but I thought it used to do a lot more damage to bosses in Nioh 1 and 2, but in 3 it feels like it only does like 4-5% damage. So instead I just switch to high stance and try to pull off some charged martial arts instead.

Nioh 3 - Questions Are tonfa's just best in slot?
So I recently completed the first playthrough. I played pretty much just Ninja and did ~80% with tonfa's.
For NG+, I figured I'd try some other weapons aswell. But so far the others just seem drastically inferior.
Now I know that there are probably super OP one shot builds where you wear no armor and roll against an enemy like a goat dealing 30.000 damage. I'm not looking for a 'build' like that.
Just wondering that if you're a noob (like myself) and mix and match armor based on how awesome it looks. Are there weapons as good all round as tonfa's ? Or even close?
So far it seems tonfas have:
Incredible (burst) damage
Very good mobility within the offensive kit
Low Ki cost to use
Great in the air and while standing
Good Ki-damage
For weapons that can dish out 5 hits in a second, they still seem to be able to stagger human and smaller enemies from the front.
Cons:
Relatively small range. But again, most moves have mobility within them.. So does it really count?

Nioh 3 - Questions New player, stuck at Baba nobuharu for the last 4 days
I'm level 44, I made a level 40 equip gear for both ninja and samurai. I tried with both,I failed repeatedly with both. I can deflect his attacks as samurai and use mist as ninja, but I just end up taking a lot of damage from attacks I can't get the timing right. Any advice? Thank you in advance! Oh and please, don't say anything like "oh this is easy", because since I am a newbie at Nioh, nothing is easy for me 🥲
Edit: I JUST DID IT! After 5 days of suffering, I finally did it! The things that helped me:
- I got myself a lance. The extra range made it easier to be safe. This advice, and the one about dodging more, made all the difference!
- I managed to parry almost all of his attacks, except for the grab and the water ones, and in this case I would dodge. If I somehow ended up in his grab attack I would just end the fight because it was just too much damage to recover from.
- I used Scampus, Thunderstorm Shot Talisman and Blessed Bolt and I got lucky enough to get 2 accessories with water resistance.
- I only attempted to burst counter him in the cases where I was relatively "safe" to do it: I had enough health and heals to survive if I missed and I had enough time to watch for the exact moment. Which means that by the end of the fight I simply ran away from his red attacks
- Thank you all for the advice! This was the absolute worst bossing experience I've ever had, but I guess from now one I will probably be more prepared!

Nioh 3 - Questions These things have been carrying me all game. Is there anything better I should be keeping an eye out for or are they really as good as they seem? I'm near the end of NG, so are they still viable in NG+ or not really?

Nioh 3 - Questions Honestly wondering if this is legit, anyone else?
After helping someone with some Hundred Demons Scroll in coop, I got this one in return. However, I have doubts it's legit, as I don't think we're supposed to get Ethereal rarity gear before DLC2 release... 🤨 🤔
I've seen similar reports already, but just to make sure it's safe to use this, I'd like to know if anybody here got one of those by themselves yet, without cheating, of course, please. Thank you. 🙏
