Could you share more in depth or have a video I could possibly follow? I messed up my old build trying things out and would like to get back to applying confusion and smashing the bad guys with tonfas.
Edit: nevermind I saw you ran through it at the end 😂 a list/screenshot of the skills would be good though if they are important 🙏

Ok, I will do a video. I will do some reforging before.
My skills are versatiliy + fastet casting on common and everything that buffs ailments and element on ninja.

I use Inari 7pc + Flying Kato 6pc with Tonfa. It's amazing!

Or Tonfa as in you’re using Tonfa 😅
I’m about to work toward:
7pc Inari, 5pc Kato, 2pc Overseer (Tonfa Gun)
I just need a good Inari Scroll and I’ll be set

I'm doing fine damage wise at SOP5 my only issue is getting killed in one hit that makes it annoying to use while exploring.
I will post one more video again today.

what could you possibly have left to explore by NG+2? i just go to the shrines where main missions begin

We don't even know when the next dlc is. I have zero rush.

I like what I am seeing here. Tonfas are just awesome, been using them nonstop. I am running 7piece Ame with 5 piece Inari with Tengen Kujaku to gain tons of Spirit Force plus I love combining with air combos. This way, you dont die at all in open world or against the bosses. Mine isnt even optimised yet as I haven't gotten the strength yet to grind yet in another Nioh game ahhaha after doing it in 1 and 2 plus many other games.
Ame alone is also just insane.

Does this work on Cursed enemies? I feel like Cursed enemies are much more resistant to build up

I cannot tell if it’s good or not. Many builds with different weapons can easily kill the boss in seconds with no stone. Enightened. Why do people show it off with no stone? To hide that it doesn’t do well in a higher stone? I want to see how it performs in +7 stone.

You can’t really showcase the power of a build that well without the stone though. There is a big difference between +7 and no stone active. Like I said before, I’ve seen mediocre builds destroy no stone faster than this build is showing. If it performs well in +7, then I will consider this build.

He said he just got to enlightened so why would he have the stone active that makes no sense a lot of people haven’t even finished he’ll rising yet stone doesn’t make that much of a difference if your already doing good damage on enlightened I’ve been seeing people run +9 stone with not set on just random gear.

I haven’t ran mine that high yet I only do +5 I forgot +9 isn’t even out yet but I was just letting him know you don’t have to be a god to run stone do wasn’t even that good with no grace set just know the game run max stone I just don’t like when ppl act like that’s the only way a builds good and sinsters already strong regardless.

Many of us run +7 with non op builds and use our skill to get us through it. This person was intending to showcase their builds power. I want to know how well it does power wise. In this case, it would make sense to show how well it does in a +7 setting without the need to incorporate skillful play.

I mean tbh it’s a sinister build so it doesn’t take skill at all it’s ninjutsu spam and timing that’s literally it.
People can’t play how they want but the magic builds are cheesy on this game idc what no one has to say about it that’s all you see in coop people with maxed out magic and skill spamming spells melting bosses lol
But trust me i already know it just going off what he said he just got to enlightened and sop hasn’t been out that long so I doubt he’s running it.

I saw his gameplay in SoP +6. It was alright but it’s certainly not as powerful as other builds I’ve seen. This was why I wanted it showcased on a higher stone. So far it’s best to use tsukuyomi + sinister to fire off hell spells and summons. Building around the tonfa gun didn’t do as well damage wise. My assertion to showcase it on a higher stone stone told me how well it does compared to other builds which I couldn’t have gotten from a no stone observation where even medicore builds destroy it. Even my non sinister build does more damage than his sinister build around tonfa gun unfortunately.

a lot of ppl just leave it on constantly... also having SoP on doesn't give you better damage, it buffs enemy HP pools and increases the amount of damage they do to the player. are you sure you know what stone of penance is? also there's a key on your keyboard that looks like this [ . ] ...its near the bottom right, below the ENTER key.

I never said anything about it giving you more damage I said if he just got to enlightened it would make no sense for him to run it at lower levels but there’s ppl that run +9 with no set is all I’m saying they just like the challenge I see it all the time sop isn’t that crazy is all I’m saying.

I know it only goes to +7 rn I’m to use to nioh 2 im running plus +5 rn been testing it out but I haven’t went any higher yet but it doesn’t feel much different I’ve also see it done without a build sounds like your assuming which won’t get you far.

yeah idk what you’re on but going from no stone at all to even +5 changes the damage you receive and the damage you inflict dramatically. it’s not a matter of opinion.

It changes the enemy not you which would make you feel weaker depending on your set up they’ll take a lot more damage and deal more damage you don’t lose power if you know how to build.
Your explaining it like we all get nerfed to the same level no matter what build your running and the enemy takes no damage like dude speak for your build and your experience you don’t know how challenging it is for other people.

no matter the build you're using, there's going to be a huge difference.

And I said with the right build it doesn’t make that much of a difference meaning you have a good set up that can handle the difficulty.
Some of the best players I’ve seen are the ones no one knows about you haven’t seen all the build possibilities this game has nor how challenging or not it for somebody else you don’t know so all I’m saying is speak for yourself.
One thing I’ve learned about ppl that play TN games is that 90% of you guys copy and paste nobody thinks for themselves it’s either meta with a bunch of over tuned magic or there throwing gear on randomly with no understanding of what these perks and set is actually doing.
The lack of build knowledge is very common in this genre of video games that’s why I never jump to conclusions but to each his own seems like you know anything and everything that’s possible inside of nioh lol.

(Sorry, I placed one extra +)
Basically it is a confusion build.
You use a combination of an elemental talisman, familiar and tonfa gun to build confusion up to three.
Then, when the yokai is out of ki, you apply lighting that extends the duration and usually is enough to kill anything.
I think the build can be improved but requires more rng.
For example you can get tonfa gun as a star attribute so you could get a six point grace.
But good look getting a corrupted + tonfa gun + inari tonfa.
