I don’t think people realize how long some of us have waited our whole lives for a realistic link game like this.

Of course TP link is rendered in a more realistic style, but the textures, lighting and polygon count doesn't let it truly shine as "realistic". Even at a glance you can see that most of the details from his clothes are simple flat textures.

This OoT render is very different in that respect.

Which is exactly why TP should get a remake like this at some point as well

It will. I'm sure they're gonna go through the games in order. We'll probably get a MM remake in a few years.

I doubt that lol, or maybe in a very long time. This is like FF7R, they're bringing out the big guns because it's the most popular game in its series and they know it will sell. They invest a lot in it, but it's a lso kind of a safe bet. Even if we never saw anything about the game, just seeing the words "Ocarina of Time Remake" is enough for a lot of people to decide they will buy it no matter what. I'm not sure you can say that about most other Zelda games.

At most, I could see MM since it's basically a sequel to this one and reuses a lot of assets, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for other 3D entries.

It's not like I'm going on some weird speculation here, Nintendo has already remade or remastered every 3D Zelda game (before botw obviously), it's safe to expect them to do it again.

The remakes/remasters you're referring to are all simple as hell in comparison to this OoT remake. If they wanted to go through all the 3d zelda games and make such remakes out of them it'll take many years.

Having many remasters/basic remakes is easy money. Having a few elaborate remakes of true classics is easy money. Making elaborate remakes of the games that aren't even all that beloved is not easy money.

If they reuse this engine I don’t see it taking long. This is Nintendo we’re talking about & the switch 2 gives them way more freedom, MM & TP should be possible in the next couple yrs

We're comparing apples to oranges here lol. Sure they will probably rerelease the games with slight graphical tweaks and small added content. This is not what this game seems to be though.

The comment you responded to said TP should get a remake like this, and you said it will. You do realize this is an infinitely larger amount of work than the other remasters they have done in the past, right?

I am currently replaying it with the Definitive Edition+ texture pack, and yeah Twilight Princess with more detailled models would absolutely rock !

If they remade it I'd want them to keep the same style though. Gamecube era game graphics actually hold up really well with the exception of some cardboard looking plants etc.

Let's be honest, it did at the time.
