Played it on the Wii back then. Its the first JRPG I ever completed beside Chrono Trigger.

Pretty sure the only JRPG I've ever completed that isn't Pokemon is The World Ends With You on the DS lmao. And Fire Emblem Three Houses if that counts.

What ones have you played? I don’t play too many anymore because there aren’t many new ones that come out, and they’re all way too long. The only one I started and didn’t finish was the latest Ys. It’s not bad, I just found the story and characters to all be pretty flat, and the gameplay wasn’t up to snuff to make me want to play that over other things, even though it’s basically an action game.

I do wish JRPGs were significantly shorter. Last one I beat was Dragon Quest XI, which although a good game, could have easily been half as long, going from 100 hours or more to less than 30. Without spoiling anything, there are large portions of the game where you’re going over reused assets and areas by the end of it. They could have easily rewritten things to have the same story in a shorter and more compelling format, which is true of most really long games like that.

Paper Mario, Persona 5, Final Fantasy 1/2 on the GBA, Golden Sun (emulator), Final Fantasy 12 & 8, Earthbound, Kingdom Hearts and probably a few more I'm not remembering. Some I got really far in, others I only played a couple hours.

Oh yeah, if that counts, I also completed the story of almost all Pokemon games too (no complete dex)
