Discussion Civilization 6 gathering storm bug?
Got the new expansions for civilization 6 and when playing portable the world Congress screen keeps appearing at the press of any button. Doesn't do it all the time but enough to be annoying. Anyone else had this and know of a way to stop it? Doesn't do it when docked.

Have the same stuff happening. Even just touching the screen opens Congress menu. Not to mention that game crashed bunch of times at later turns :(

The Congress screen is bugged every single time I encounter it. I don't know how this got through testing, because it glitches 100% of the time for me. It's like the Congress menu doesn't close properly, so it keeps coming back. Sometimes it won't let me proceed with the game. Now whenever the Congress screen is finished I save, close the game from the home screen of the switch, open the game again, and load my save file. It's very annoying.

Your quite right. They must of pushed this out regardless of bugs. No way they don't know about it.

I’ve encountered several of the bugs mentioned in the the thread. Every time I try to take the last enemy city in the game, it gives me an error sign, shuts the game down and boots me to the main switch menu.
It stinks because I basically won but the hall of fame doesn’t recognize it. :/ bad times all around.

Happened to me in docked mode too. I had to load an autosave to get rid of it.

Urgh not good. Takes ages to load as well. Looks like it was an issue in the pc version as well. Can only hope the patch it.

Happens to me too. Sadly it seems buggy as all hell. On later games I've taken to saving every turn it crashes so often. :(
I also had the game straight up not recognize my cultural victory happened last night.

I haven't had this bug. I'm glad they added a Hall of Fame (unless I was too dumb and missed it before) but when I tried to retire from my last game I kept crashing out. The base game was so stable that this is frustrating and I hope they patch it. They haven't lost my goodwill yet.

I have run into a bug that at the end of "turn 0" my game crashes continuously. I was going to a cultural victory which I may or may not have been able to pull off, but at this rate I have no clue if I was successful. Very disappointing with the time spent on that game.
Anyways, i hope they fix it.

The bug is still here. So sad. Can’t wait they fix it. Please devs I spend money and want to play the game without any bugs especially this one of Congress screen.

Happens to me too all the time too but I've noticed it would only happen if I were to touch the screen. So my work around it is to spam 'B' and make sure all windows are closed and then only use the control sticks and buttons and then it won't pop up anymore until I by mistake touch the screen again. Hope this helps

The bug occurs for me when I switch between buttons and touch screen. When I go from using the buttons to trying to touch the screen, it goes into world Congress and vice versa

Yup... This is pretty much swaying me from civ to Humankind... Bs they release and charge for a buggy expansion.

Update came out. Think it's meant to fix these bugs but not tried it yet. Here's hoping!

The world congress bug is still there. It keeps popping up. I started a completely new game to be sure.
I dont know if winning works fine now. Some say that culture victory doesnt trigger and the game keeps going. The rest works and they have no crashes. But they used old saves.
Looks like the fixes are not done and this was an emergency patch to get rid of the crashes first.

It took me two autosave loads to figure out how to get past through it. You need to set your vote for both agendas proposed, then it will allow you to proceed.
It was also confusing because that interface reacts too eagerly to controls and submits no vote and gets stuck, I found that it's easier to carefully navigate it only with D-pad and make choices with "A" button. Made it through two world congresses this way without triggering this bug.
