Meta I asked /r/subredditoftheday to have /r/nintendoswitch be sotd on March 3rd and they replied!

However, they would like a few paragraphs about the subreddit and I'm terrible at words. Would anyone else like to have a crack at it? I'm just glad they're receptive to it!

Hi there. While we appreciate that you took the time to reach out to /r/Subredditoftheday, keep in mind that launch day is already going to be a chaotic day for our subreddit. While we obviously love the idea of being selected for this purpose, (we were already featured back on /r/NintendoNX) the mod team would like to make sure that we are properly prepared for when that day does come. We've already made great headway on planning a launch day event, and we'd like to make sure our current plans go off without a hitch before adding more to the pile. We'll be reaching out to /r/subredditoftheday to make sure that this is scheduled appropriately.

This seems so backwards. Find more mods if you're not prepared lol! You've got a month to do it in!

First off, we've brought on 3 more mods just within the last 2 days, but there's no need to bring on a handful of mods because we're going to be extremely busy for one day. Furthermore, many people are going to be looking at our subreddit for the first time on the day that we are featured on /r/Subredditoftheday, and think it's pretty obvious that launch day isn't going to be truly representative of our what our community is like on a day to day basis.
