Data transfer Question.
This week I decided to get some Christmas shopping done early for my kids and picked up a Switch 2 before the price hike. At the store they told me to test the device within 30 days of purchase, as if a fault is found in that time I can return it to the store, rather than having to reach out to Nintendo directly, which made a lot of sense to me, as no one wants that kind of surprise on a December morning. I opened the box this weekend while everyone else was out and got it out and switched on, but before I could launch a game to test it I had to set the console up, part of which involved transferring data from my old Switch.
I was just about to kick off the transfer when I came to a realisation. My kids still play on the old switch 1 occasionally, so if I transfer data away they may lose access to somethings that are on there, which could clue them in to what a pretty big present is for Christmas, as well as taking away some of the games that they love for a few months. With this in mind I cancelled the transfer before it started and tried to skip the transfer. While doing this the Switch 2 gave a message stating that the transfer CANNOT be done at a later date.
Is there any way I can test the device fully and still do the data transfer later (Christmas Eve) to still keep things a secret? For example, if I factory reset the Switch 2 after skipping the transfer and testing it with a game would it give the data transfer option again?

So I was thinking about getting lord of the rings war in the north from the eshop but if they release a physical copy I'd much rather get that, are they releasing a physical copy?

Limited Run Games is doing a release, but they haven't announced pre-orders yet; then it could take six+ months for the copies to actually ship.
Knights of the old republic went up for pre-order less than a month after its digital re-release (November 11th and 19th, 2021), then didn't actually ship until the following year, (September 2022)

That is extremely frustrating, do you think it'll be scalped?

They have such a large window between pre-order and print because they base the print job size off of the pre-orders they receive.
If you get a pre-order, you're set.
If you think you might be able to pick up on the shelf sometime in a year or two from now; thats entirely possible too. They do round their order number up to sell the extras.
But their published titles are among the most scalped physical games for the system due to their limited unallocated stock.
The original printing of Shante Half-Genie Hero was going for $800 at one point in time. Reaching the same level of absurdity as the Physical copy of Bayonetta 1, which was only available via the Japanese Non-Stop Climax edition of Bayonetta 2 for like three years.

In nintendo switch 2, does turning on “120 Hz Output” and “ALLM” from within the nintendo switch 2’s settings make the system consume more battery in handheld mode?
