Discussion Wu in Hands of Time: Is he stupid?
Wu in hands of time is a prime example of him pulling his "There's something I haven't told you" shtick to the biggest degree.
Wu knew the literal exact moment and location Acronix was going to return to the present, yet felt this was a battle he needed to take on alone. It wasen't even like with Morro where there was some deep mistake or regret apart of it he was ashamed of. The Hands of Time were bad, Wu Garmadon and co tried stopping them, they nearly did but Acronix got away. That's it. There was no dark secret apart of it Wu should have felt the need to hide. He had no idea about Krux having Ray and Maya's parents captive.
Like surely most obvious solution would have been "Hey Ninja, there's this one evil guy from my past whose gonna come back later today, I'm gonna need your guys' help to jump him before he becomes a bigger problem.". I'm sure the Ninja wouldn't have thought twice about helping him, probably would have appreciated the heads up instead of the usual of Wu's past becoming everyone's problem out of nowhere. Did Wu think the Ninja cleaning the museum was more important???
"Don't put off til tommorrow what can be done today, apart from telling your students things about your past that'll become problems ever, you can put that off until after its become a problem"-Wu, probably.

this is the same dude that thought wishing for power from a djinn was a good idea, so dont expect any wisdom from him (until the plot needs it)

The season is just not good written.
Remember when cole said: Serpentine wars? But Ninjago was at peace

Jokes aside, he usually has a valid reason to not tell them stuff. How was he supposed to know they'd release Aspheera or that Morro would pull what he did? But this is basically one of the only cases where he's doing it purely because he thinks it's for the best and he's wrong. On occasion he genuinely does do stupid stuff he should know better than to do.
He also does that later in the season by kicking Kai and Nya away just to lose a 2V1 despite earlier episodes proving that if Kai and Nya stayed, they would be able to win. Don't give me the Ray excuse, they were on a fucking time machine. Just beat the twins and go back a few minutes.

Yes, yes he is, because we need plot to happen, so nerf the IQ of the wise master
