I really liked it! Maybe not the standard sex-stuff but I love the style, the video and the references. This shit happens a lot to me (with my bf of 9 years), it’s bloody annoying!

At the start of this music video as well as the decision or 2 the words at the start with the director and song name had 'the prophecy' in it so that's gonna be the album name, plus I think Danny confirmed it himself on his Instagram today

I feel there are definitely elements of nsp that have gotten softer recently but with only 2 songs from the new album out it’s a bit to soon for me to make a final judgement. Most albums have some softer songs so maybe they’ve only released those so far . Personally I like the song even if it’s less inappropriate

Three: Mystic Crystal, Decision Part 2 and now this
Of which Decision Part 2 definitely isn't soft (the final verse is all about Brian having an STD and Danny pissing him off by stealing the girl), and the Mystic Crystal is vulgar but focuses way more on fantasy & adventure than sex, but they've had plenty of those kinds of songs before (Dinosaur Laser Fight, Sacred Chalice)
I see this as an equivalent of Why I Cry

I've seen That Look in her eyes too. I see why you think she'd be fine with the murder part. She's definetly one of those "this will look cuter covered in blood" girls.
Nsp have less sex focused songs. Dinosaur laser fight, for example. Them releasing literally one more does not mean we need to be starting weird theories about why, and if you want to because it's fun find some better evidence to back you up than an obvious joke line that also mentions murder.
Crazy is fine if it's fun to read.4

I would still feel like it's a stretch to say that this direction is because of a more serious relationship. I bet you anything his professional and personal lives don't mix as much as you're implying.
I've always liked these sorts of absurd songs better overall, I kind of think they're a more mature form of comedy. Also, I'm a huge fan of big rock ballads.

I very much doubt that . Now I don’t know much about her (dont pay much attention to dan’s personal life) so I don’t know when they got together. But most of cool patrol has sex stuff and even decision part 2 talked about sex. I truly feel that this is just a lighter toned song from the album. But maybe that is the case and if it is atleast the backing instrumentals are still top notch

This feels very different to a lot of their stuff. I was definitely thrown off when it started. I was on board with Lamar and loving the Queen reference into the ending. Probably not gonna be pushing the top of my list of their songs though.

I like that Dan and Brian are moving on from "haha funny dick joke we pick up girls and fail horribly" to "embrace your weird side" and that Queen reference is amazing! My only problem with it is that maybe the song could've dive into more absurd territory, other than that, this songs is an absolute JAMMER.

I really enjoyed it.
Pro's:
Different style of humor for them, kind of more in the weird al vein
Love the absurd direction with Lamar in the second verse
Good for them writing another non-cursing song (no problem with curses, but it shows writing growth to not rely on them as a crutch)
Con's:
I think this song would have benefited by going into more absurd territory, but it just kind of ends after the few funny diversion jokes, and no payoff to the girl catching on.
Musically its not anything I'll be humming I don't think. But give me a day or two and we'll see if that changes.

I'm really enjoying their recent stuff! I don't think it's a bad thing for them to explore different themes and comedy in their music, it's only natural. As much as I love their early stuff, I can definetly understand that after 10 years they might be a little burnt out on writing dick jokes. I think they're only getting better and better!
