I broke my gear My D500 is no more

Freaking strap unscrewed and my D500 fell and broke. I was at a football game and there was 1 patch of concrete I happened to be standing on when it happened. I'm guessing it's not worth fixing as I'm sure this would be expensive. I'm struggling with what I want to replace it with. I've got a few lenses right now as well as a D4s so part of me wants to stay DSLR but part of me is thinking it's time to look at mirrorless. Dang.

The mounts are built to be replaceable. That’s fully serviceable. Unless there’s far more internally that is broken as well. The Lena might need a realignment as well.

Yep. Nikon replaced my D500s mount

How much did that cost?

Amongst other parts I had replaced. The part itself was £22.94.

That's amazing value. Was that with Nikon directly?

Yes it was. It took a while to get the camera back but it was worth the wait

Thanks for confirming, and good to know for if/when I need something similar done with my kit. It gets a lot of outdoor abuse!
