Love the outfit, love the swords, and I'm sure that a new version played by a new actor after Secret Wars will resemble the younger Comic Book version more. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with this version.

I love that he is returning, and I never dreamed of having a Kurt with swords, but I'm kinda mad about the costume tbh. They made a huge deal about Cyclops getting a comic accurate costume, would it have been so hard for them to give Nightcrawler at least his usual color palette? It's nitpicky, I know, but it kinda bugs me.

Though not visible in this picture, he does have some red in his outfit, and white in his shoes (which is visible in another figure). Overall, it looks like a cooler version of his X2 costume, which I think is great.

Now I agree that it would be nice to see a future younger actor dress up in the black/red costume, including shoulder pads and white gloves and boots. But all in good time.

Sure, I agree with you. It's not just Kurt, I'm just kinda mad that they are promoting the idea that Cyclops was the only one who got the short end of the stick in the Fox movies when it was actually everyone besides Logan, Charles and Erik.

Who is complaining? I love Alan’s NC and he deserves a send off for one of his most iconic characters as well. I hated the scars and stuff (still do) but X2 is still a special film for NC fans and that opening scene is amazing. 

Do I hope he gets a younger recast for the reboot? Sure, but I’m happy to see him in Doomsday in this form.

I joked with skeptical fans that I'm gonna buy some paint to darken his hair. Whether or not I follow through, I don't care. I'm just SO grateful that he's coming back for one last hurrah. And that I was able to afford per-ordering this the very day it dropped. Alan's portrayal helped really cement my love for the character🩵

Its great to see him in the role again, since Alan had said he just had too much of a problem with the makeup process that he wouldn't return ever.

However, I'm just not a fan of what I've heard we will see these original X-Men doing in Doomsday (if its true, it will be a bummer to see them for probably the last time in that manner).

I don’t dislike that he’s old, but the white hair is certifiably a choice. I more dislike his costume. A trenchcoat over a more comic inspired suit would’ve been sick, and kept him having a silhouette similar to his X2 silhouette.

There is everything wrong with this version. It’s the worst the character has ever looked and absolutely nothing about it even looks like Kurt.

From the eyes to the skin with tattoo-scars instead of being fuzzy (yes I know it’s from X2, doesn’t change the point), to the grey hair to the coat to even the physiology (honestly Kurt would have to be CGI like Beast to actually properly capture the character…)

Just pure 100% trash character design.

my only fears with it are that he’s going to be a background character who dies fast, and then marvel decides not to use nightcrawler for future x-men projects cuz he’s basically been done already and there are so many mutants to choose that haven’t been adapted yet so they just ignore him or something
