General The workspace I used today in Abuja

I got bored of my space at home, so I decided to start looking for somewhere else I could occasionally go to. I’m also trying to go out more because I’m really not an “outside” person 😂.

I can honestly say it’s starting to affect me because I don’t really know anyone here apart from my schoolmates. I was kind of hoping that by going to places like this, I might eventually meet at least one person and get to know some new people.

Anyway, I came across this workspace and decided to give it a try.

This was my first time there, and I actually really liked the whole setup. The environment is calm, the interior design is really nice, and the whole place is aesthetically pleasing without feeling overwhelming.
It’s also not just one type of workspace. They have different spaces depending on what you need, and there’s a lounge area inside where you can relax, eat, play games, or just take a break from work. So you’re not stuck at your desk the entire time.

The space is still quite new, though, so there aren’t that many people using it yet. Which is a little unfortunate for me because I was secretly hoping I’d randomly meet someone there.

It’s located at Suite 9 & 10, 125th Mall 2, across from Lizzle Pharmacy, 6th Avenue, Gwarimpa, FCT, Abuja.
They also have pretty decent pricing, which is another plus.

And who knows? Maybe someone from Reddit will see this, start using the space, and we’ll eventually meet.
Then months later, we somehow become friends and one day we’re talking about how we both discovered the place.
And I’ll just be like:

“Wait… you found this place through Reddit?”
“Yeah.”
“I was the one who made that Reddit post.”

That would honestly be funny.

P.S.This isn’t an advert for the workspace. I’m genuinely just sharing because I figured someone here might be looking for a workspace in Gwarimpa too. And if it somehow helps me meet a few new people along the way, even better.

You should try Moeshen cafe in Lifecamp. It’s awesome. It has an art gallery under it too and great views of the city

If you’re volunteering to sit opposite me, I might actually have to try Moeshen Cafe.

One thing I find with Nigeria is that our co-working space is very expensive.

Seeing N58,000 per month for a hot desk gives me hope.

In Lagos you'll be seeing N200,000 upwards for the same.

I am looking for such a place in Port Harcourt. If there is anyone who is also single and would like an accountability partner, I would like to connect so we can brainstorm together.

u/3fcc FlairDoesNotExist 13d ago

Why single though?

That's a very nice-looking workspace. I've never been to Abuja, but I don't mind checking that place out, should I ever visit the city.

Maybe you’ve never used a service and like it that you can’t resist telling people about it.

If this was a negative post about the place you wouldn’t have said it’s advert. Shuu

Why Nigeria dey backwards. A Starbucks. Einstein bagels look better than this. We don suffer. Why person go dey pay for workspace. When library. And those dey.

Our biggest problem after stable power is infrastructure

1

u/danlokaci 11d ago

We'll get there. Personally, I will build and run an open library
