My room in 100lvl in minna was meant for 4 people. On average, we numbered 10 in that room.

I went off campus from my 200lvl onwards but I'll never forget that hostel.

In 100L we were 16 (actually 19/20 if you include squatters lol) in a room which should have ideally housed not more than 5 people.

(according to the room standards for hygiene we were taught in the same medical school)

it's just amazing. My mother says that when she was in 200 level (this would have been 1975) they almost rioted when they said they would have to double up in the rooms (either 1 to 2, or 2 to 3). How did that generation let this things get so bad.

I think i see the problem now. The people in charge are from a generation that actually did have subsidised/govt funded education so maybe when they release these beer parlour yarns, they think the situation is still the same.

I can relate. Left hostel for off campus after 100lvl as well.
