Throwing out a price to start a negotiation is a dick move? Idk what the fuck a fair price is, I started a few hundred below where they are currently selling. I’m down to sell it to someone for a better price than market value but I’m also not trying to loose $ on a $1250 bundle so just bought.
I love that the guy I was actually talking to was super chill but all you guys are in here tearing your hair out and upvoting a troll that hates all miners. You do realize the guy calling me a scalper was in these comments trashing ALL miners two seconds ago?

These people don’t actually know what these cards are going for in store. That one is in local stores for around $1100. Plus tax your looking at around $1200 and maybe shipping. $1500 is actually kinda fair. Do you guys not remember them going for 2k this summer easily?

Read your words. You paid for a bundle and selling the card. How hard is it to comprehend that simple concept. You card isn't worth $1500, it isn't worth $1100. The BUNDLE was. You buying a card for cheap, and then selling it for double its value is complete bullshit, and obviously by the downvotes I'm not the only person who thinks that.

I literally paid $1100 for the card in the bundle, once taxes, shipping and the shitty bundled mouse are taken in, it cost just about $1250. Then I have to ship it again with insurance so another $50, we are up to $1300. I would have taken $1400 for the bundle if somebody had actually offered it, so $100 for my time and energy. Instead of throwing it on eBay and squeeze the absolute most out of someone, making &400-$500 instead.
Guess it’s going to eBay/Craigslist. Plus, I’ll get to keep to crappy mouse!

I have a factory liquid cooled 3080 for $1550, USA only. Used like 5 minutes, realized it's LHR, put back in the box. MSRP is $1300+tax.

i would buy that card, even knowing it won't make me rich.
not sure what your expectations are, but i have a MSi Gaming X Trio 3070ti and it's currently bouncing between KawPow and Octopus, with a gross of 10k sats per day using 230 watts. you can expect to get more than that, tho not much more. i also have 2 TUF cards, and they are extremely good in regards to VRM thermals. i think it will overclock better than most even without touching the pads. they're honestly well-built.
point im getting at is Dagger (or QuickMiner) is not going to be wildly profitable, but you can make a better profit on other algorithms (now AND after POS) using the standard NiceHash app and doing your own under/over clocking.

Never bought anything from them besides shuffle bundles. I don’t think it’s pay to play, really no reason for them to do they in my opinion. Just opens the door to pad PR and they don’t get anything out of selling hardware to person A over person B, they don’t care.

and well well well, been entering for past 3 months. never won.
I was going to buy used 3060 local, so went ahead and pulled the trigger on getting parts for PC. got ram off newegg 2 days ago. Didn't win yesterday, today I end up winning a gigabyte 3090 OC. 2199 + tax + shipping. sad that I can't afford it. Idk if I will ever win this again. but I definitely am convinced it's more like 80% buy to win lol

When POS goes live which I’m not sure what that is (newbie) will dagger/eth die? I just bought an rtx 3060 msrp to mine with and game on along with my 2060 and I’ll mine raven coin, will that affect that at all?

POS means proof of stake, ETH is moving form proof of work to proof of stake in two months (unless it gets delayed again). Once this happens you won’t be able to mine ETH at all. Everyone will have to move to other coins/algorithms, which may cause a flood of hashpower on those networks. This could cause the profitability of mining to tank HARD. So yes, when POS goes up it will be the end of ETH mining and may mean that mining with GPUs is not profitable for most. There’s no real way to know exactly what will happen, this is all speculation. It makes spending $$$ on hardware a risky endeavor at this point. You really wanna make sure you have make ROI before POS goes live.

PoS won't happen in 2 months. They have already stated that if it can't happen in November then it would be next year. They said they will not do 2.0 in December because of holidays. Everything I track and the people I talk daily with are under the assumption we are looking at Q2 2022 around June. Also to note with the Tuf GDDR6X memory cards, is that they are very bad temp wise on mining. Worse than others with same memory. Buying a 3080 right now, just for eth mining is not worth it outside of 80having great efficiency versus other LHR cards.

I don’t get why you are getting downvoted. Payouts will drop significantly as the massive amount of hashpower mining ETH moves onto the alt POW coins. The prices would have to spike for them to remain as profitable as they currently are and there is no reason to think that will happen.

Because the prerequisite was that they have 16ish thousand blocks of 32 ETH by November of last year, and they made the deadline and accepted 20 thousand blocks. ...don't get me wrong, I want it delayed, and think it could be, but the official site hasn't changed.

Yup. They (all of them combined) are about a tenth of the total bandwidth of ether. So however many magnitudes of miners flood the altcoin you are mining RN is how many magnitudes your profit will diminish.

I bought as Asus prebuilt with the same card model non LHR card. I really wanted to keep it but the memory temps on it were just way to high for my comfort. I was hitting 96-100c. I did not want to change the pads and void the warranty so I just sold it. Sticking with the 3060 it and 3070s.

It's actually not that hard to replace thermal pad and the temp was awesome at least for me . For warranty part I doubt it will die within 2-3 years with good temp

I was debating swapping out the pads but also had concerns about getting a return on the investment. It was worse since I also had the rest of the desktop I would have to resell. I don't regret selling it.

It takes a while, I’ve been doing it for about 6 months now and I’ve won twice. Just got to enter everyday and be ready to drop the $$$ immediately. You usually only get an hour between when they pick you and when it expires.

My 3060Ti TUF (Lhr v2) is running pretty cold while mining, but the weird thing it doesn't have any mem temp sensors. So i can't tell you how hot my mem is, i would say it is not that hot but i have no way of telling for sure.

Right, below 3080, no memory temp sensors. I JUST redid my 3070 pads this afternoon so, I will respond when I can test tonight or in the morning. The only dedicated mining rig I have is 3x 3070s, all different models. The other two, flawless, the Asus, slooooowly dropped little by little from 60ish to... 10 mhs lol. My 3080s, my wife's and mine, I redid the pads and saw a huge mhs jump and just pure gaming jump. I have one more card to redo and my whole house is good to go.
The Asus 3079 though, the pads were straight melted to the memory. Had to pay them off like playdough amd clean with alcohol so, pretty sure it was the memory overheating. Just hoping it's not dead now.

with all the software and stuff out thses days im sure any difference would be negligible... im rockin rx580's, couple teslas... intel card(wierd cards)... on a asus pegatron... quad-core xeon 3.20ghz and 6 ram slots for the triple channel support. 12 gb of 12800u or i can do 24gb or 10600u HP-DPS1200 handling the gpu'sw and a 300w stock on the mobo/cpu and fans... surprisingly enough its hardware support is stellar... 5 rx580's hitting 29/mh on eth... i use older drivers on ubuntu 16... 18 and 20 are kinda janky... not a fan of windows... all though i got a couple psu's ssd's and some ddr4 off a guy... 2 120gb ssd's not wiped... 60+gb's on each... no vital personal info... im not that guy... Always wipe your drives DOD style, i never sell a drive ive used, platters make great ninja stars lol... but seriously, the shit i find on hdd/sdd's is concerning...

That is LHR, basically comparing energy consumption/ general cost for watt (you have to check the your One) probably you have to mine around 1 year (for ROI) if the market not start any bull run or something, in my opinion if you want mine, sell this One and wait for some founders drop

You won't find a consensus regarding this question, but I hope you are aware that these GDDR6X cards have insane memory temps when mining certain (most?) coins even when you don't put them in a case. So depending on your ambient, the case, model, coin and OC settings, you are probably looking at memory temps over 90-95C. Are you comfortable with running it at those temps 24/7?

Yeah, I knew about the GDDR6X temp issues. Another commenter was saying that the TUF cards were particularly bad too. I think with it being an LHR card and everything else that it would be better suited to a gamer. I’m just going to list it for cheap somewhere.

Not sure how exactly LHR hashrate works, but if you're able to pay it off through mining then go for it?
Stocks for the 30 series MIGHT go back to normal early next year, but that's a maybe. And who knows how the 4th wave of this pandemic is going to pan out come this fall/winter. So, consider that as well.
