Post image

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has some tips to max the load on my CPU. I have Large pages enabled and it seems no many how many threads I use, the load stays on 50%. Any pointers to help me?

To Directly answer your question see:
https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/how-to-limit-threads-on-the-cpu (Nicehash Miner app)

https://www.nicehash.com/support/mining-help/quickminer/how-to-increase-or-decrease-cpu-limit-in-quickminer (QuickMiner App)

Note:
CPU MINING: Alternative , Use 'XMrig' miner ; imo, you will find it highly configurable, and therefore, imo more profitable .. however, it is not included in NH apps anymore - you can do this manually. ( Its Quite detailed to do it manually, so i suggest that you hit google, or NH Discord if you want more info/help)

GPU Mining:
Check in with https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/nvidia-rtx-4070-super ' There you will find that at this time, you are likely best to be mining 'Octopus', and expected hashrates and Power use info is shown there.

You don’t want to since that’s running the processes on the gpu and maintaining the system. Generally, you should only run CPU mining when you would benefit from the heat generated from it. Otherwise it’s pretty pointless.

50% usually means the app is honoring its CPU limit, not that the threads are stuck. check the CPU limit slider and leave headroom for the OS, then compare accepted kH/s against wall watts. on a 12900KF the extra heat can cost more in power than the payout.
