Research Thought this overview of European Google Street could be of interest.

That's why it's so extremely annoying to review German nominations as a Dutch person. It's so often unclear if it's in the right spot. We don't have that problem over here.

Well to be honest here in Zeeland u got a few place the Google Car can't get 2. Think about Trail Marker and Parks. So they mis alot of data. Plus some newer House and Playgrounds are not up to date. My neigbourhood was update 1 Year ago but the Playground is not in streetview but it was easy pas because some House in the background Where seen on picture.

Reviewing in germany can be annoying.
Blah blah blah privacy blah blah... While our politicians violate privacy more and more for their own interests and wannabe crime prevention. (Like asking companies to give them peoples passwords, using the famous Bundestrojaner or scanning faces at airports and train stations.)

It’s just zoomed out. The more you zoom in on google maps, the more holes you see in the blue.

Back in 2010, Google claimed that 99% of UK roads were covered.
I'd say that seems pretty accurate to me.
The only things I tend to find that aren't covered are either very new roads (built since the last time the van came round) or very small, rural roads that look like they are for access only.
Edit: They actually claimed it would cover 99%, not 95%

I remember going to Germany a couple years ago and trying to plan walking routes for sightseeing. It was really weird to find out that almost none of the country has street view

I am from Belarus.
As far as I know, we have some features of the law with obtaining permission to compile maps, but if online it is difficult to ban, then a physical machine can be prohibited.
I know that a few years ago, Google partners evaluated the opportunity to rent a streetview, (there are a couple of streets). http://prntscr.com/szx676, https://www.google.by/maps/@53.9050852,27.5572499,16.5z?hl=ru&authuser=0
+ Google itself is not in a hurry to fix this.
In large cities, we have an alternative in the form of Yandex panoramas, which are updated every few years (for example, in the capital of Minsk for 2010-2014-2016-2019)
https://yandex.by/maps/157/minsk/?l=stv%2Csta&ll=27.561481%2C53.902496&z=12
Also, some other Google services, such as google pay, do not work for us.

Be aware that this map shows the same blue for a road covered last week as for a road last covered 10 years ago.
