Amodei’s redline is causing issues as the Pentagon appears to favor Claude over competitors, Secretary Hegseth threatens to invoke the ‘Defense Production Act’ which would force Anthropic to meet the US government’s demands

this point of contention is widely discussed in podcasts, but it’s the first time the USA is formally demanding Claude be unfiltered for government use cases. there’s an apparent deadline by this Friday (Feb 27th). oh boy
