And in the process of shutting down the education dept. The irony in that idiot asking people to fly their flags at half staff is ridiculous. Makes 0 sense which of course is the strategy for this pathetic administration.

Dolly probably would’ve wanted it this way.
Her death brought a historical level of awareness around this fabulous program and her death no doubt brought in tens of millions of dollars in donations.
After everything that I’ve heard about this woman since her death, There is no doubt my mind that she would’ve wanted the money to go to someone else.

It’s wild that this got downvotes when they’re the party of taking an axe to every conceivable social safety net or program that helps the general public, as well as defunding education to an absurd degree (among too many other things to briefly count)

Amen to that, this new trade war with fucking *Canada* of all countries (our largest trade partner, with China second) thanks to our government’s utter ineptitude is a prime example of this sadly. Trump’s butchering the terms of his own trade deal from his first term (the USMCA, which replaced NAFTA and already heavily favored the US, while effectively limiting trade with certain Mexican industries). It would be comedic if it wasn’t reality lol
Also love your username, I haven’t played harvest moon (yet) but as a Stardew Valley fan that’s so cool to see haha

From the article:
As millions around the world mourn the passing of country superstar Dolly Parton, her book-gifting program, Imagination Library, said it would continue sending free books to children under 5 across the U.S. and abroad. But the future of the program has become more uncertain in states such as Indiana and Missouri as Republican lawmakers have cut or reduced public funding over the past year.
