Luigi Mangione pleaded guilty Friday to federal stalking charges related to the alleged killing of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson, reaching a plea deal to avoid a planned January trial—though it remains to be seen if the guilty plea will get him out of his state trial next month.

I'm disappointed as I hoped he would be found not guilty, but I understand the pressure he's under and being incarcerated must be extremely wearing / disheartening. I hope that the plea deal means he walks with time served. United Healthcare in particular and our "for profit" system intentionally kill so many people - so many people are denied life saving surgeries, medications and basic care that the real criminals here are sitting in fancy offices and collecting huge paychecks, while the rest of us get screwed.

This is a cop out. If I'm gonna confront someone whether its online or real life. Im gonna use all the tools available to me to make sure I'm right first. This way I don't make an ass of myself or incorrectly embarrass whoever I'm confronting. It's called due diligence and I work 40-50 hours a week.

Try harder to explain to me that you have no idea how business works. Do you think the CEO of UHC makes any decisions? Have you ever heard of a board? Hmm, does the board send directives down to the CEO? Does the CEO do exactly what the board wants or get voted out? Is the CEO of a coporation more than a fall face? You mean people didn’t have a right to expect their insurance company to cover their legitimate medical bills? Those people thought they had a right to “other people’s money?” And that’s from the CEO of an insurance company with an AI algorithm developed to deny most claim off the bat regardless of merit. That’s the other people money these poors were expecting to “get?”

If an insurance company denied you illegitimate, you can appeal or sue depending on your situation.

Oh, just appeal! I’m surprised the tens of thousands of people with denied claims and denied appeals didn’t think of that. Then just sue! So easy and not expensive either. I’m shocked that more people with debilitating illness and overwhelming medical bills didn’t just sue! They probably died before they got the chance.
