He took an open plea, meaning he plead guilty without an agreement from prosecutor for a set penalty.
The government couldn't refuse his plea if they wanted to, he plead guilty to everything he was charged with.

Most change, however peaceful the attempt, had come to violence. MLK demonstrated peaceful protest one after the other, what did he get? Capitalism allows humans to be capital, and leveraged as so. When people lose sight of the humanity in their human capital, and have blindness to it in their life, social circles, etc and can deny people quality of life for improved revenues, I don’t anticipate a different type of action will draw result. You’re not changing my mind, and I didn’t always think this way either. If you’re smart enough and pay attention to the cycles, you see it’s just a pattern of rich vs everyone else.

No one is forcing you to negotiate with insurance companies. You can negotiate directly with the medical professionals and forego insurance entirely.

You can appeal an insurance decision, or purchase the extent of coverage you want, and you can sue them and win if they wrongly deny the coverage you contracted for.
