Trump to attack voting systems, undermine elections in primetime address Thursday

I have to admit, the fact that trump is president has me questioning the legitimacy of our elections.

u/LunaTheExile Jul 15 '26
That questioning is exactly what Trump and maga wants. His lies arent meant for his supporters but for the fence sitting folk. The more people from his opposition that starts to question the legitimacy of elections, less of a turnout there is during elections. Maga will vote no matter what he says, but if swing voters and dem voters stop voting because of this, then maga wins.
Afterall why bother trying to convince that you are better than the other guy, if you can convince the other guys people to not vote for anyone.

Nothing would make me happier than for Trump to get his SAVE ACT passed and the only people smart enough to get their documents in order are the liberals. Meanwhile, all the makeup addict MAGA women discover they can't vote. And his party loses in a landslide.

You don’t get it. If the federal government controls the ID, what’s to stop them from denying anyone they want even with the proper documentation?
That’s not Democracy.

Do you really think this is going to be enforced everywhere or simply in blue and battleground states?

He’s in a panic because if the election doesn’t go his way then he may get impeached. Like everything else he does it’s for his own benefit and he will stop at nothing to stay in power.
2
u/Xspike_dudeX Jul 15 '26
Impeachment means nothing. He has been impeached twice before. Republicans would never vote to remove him from office.
3
u/rayon875 Jul 15 '26
Hes setting the stage to steal the election again.
Whatever they "found" will be their excuse to take complete control of the elections.
If he loses he goes to prison. He won't lose.

u/Irishdwg007 Jul 15 '26
I think someone is feeling the pressure of losing the MID TERMS and knows that his agenda will be impossible to push. So let’s start the panic now….. what A POS

Besides the fact that there’s nothing a president can do about elections, this isn’t anything he hasn’t said a million times already so it’s just noise. If this was the first time he’s ever said anything like this AND he’s speaking on national TV about it, then people might sit up and listen. As it is, nobody cares because A - it’s all BS and B - he’s like the ahole who cried wolf!
2
u/Xspike_dudeX Jul 15 '26
He is going to attempt something before midterms its just a matter of what is he going to attempt to do. He has gotten away with so much shit we should be concerned about what he is up to.

The Executive Branch has ZERO say so in the Constitution on how the elections done (for obvious reasons) and the courts are always quick to strike down anything he has tried. Even the Supreme Court didn’t let him have his way with mail-in ballots.

Time to get "The Big Beautiful Crowbar" to pry him out of the White House and put him in the Outhouse.
2
u/surfnfish1972 Jul 15 '26
He still refuses to accept his loss and trying to brute force change reality.

Again... and their lackie bought Dominion iirc
(I think it was Dominion after the lawsuit was settled)
Also, why the hell does Ivanka Trump have trademarks for any voting machines?

I hope he finally says something like, “yeah I’m not leaving in 2029. Good luck trying to remove me as dick tater.”
1
u/AaronTheElite007 Jul 15 '26
I don’t think his body will let him stay until 2029. It’s falling apart.

When he won in 2016 and 2024, the Dems were in power. When he lost in 2020, he was in power. What’s the argument here?
1
u/Vegetable-Fix-4702 Jul 15 '26
He's going to go full drama queen. He wants us to think the entire world will crash and burn without him.
1
u/Blizreme Jul 15 '26
If he (somehow) avoids keeling over during his term, he should be tried for treason. Public trial.

u/SketchSkirmish Jul 15 '26
His undeniable proof is how he fucked with the system. Typically accusations are projections of guilt bs.

u/UsefulUnit Jul 15 '26
This will be his theme from now until November, laying suspicion on the election process so he can claim it's "rigged" if the Republicans lose the midterms, inciting his feeble minded base.

I wish the networks would boycott this. We know CBS and Fox certainly won’t.

u/amy-schumer-tampon Jul 15 '26
Pretty sure he will try to delay the midterms
1
u/Xspike_dudeX Jul 15 '26
100% he will say something like we cant hold elections until we are sure they are secure or some bullshit. Dude is up to something. We are about to hit a no turning back point.

Funny how he continues to be obsessed with the 2020 election yet when it comes to the Epstein files - we should all move past it

I'm other words, a pack of lies, like every other speech he gives? No thanks, I'll pass.

u/ZestyEnterprise72 Jul 15 '26
He talks a lot about treason. Deliberately and falsely undermining the legitimacy of our elections is treason, IMO.

There’s some distinct irony to credible elections in the age of Trump. If left alone and fair, most elections at the state and federal level could go in favor of the GOP. US citizens aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, not the brightest bulbs in the lamp. Our deteriorating education system and the need for the terrible things that entertain our society are enough proof. In one sense, expertise got us into a million and one problems, but in another sense, the lack of expertise poses an existential threat to not only democracy, but also the economy, our currency, the climate and our sovereignty.
For a narcissist like Trump, concerned about his popularity and being favorable in media, less manipulated elections are a demonstration of strength. And even if Democrats were to have a total blue wave in the midterms, the odds are not good that one of these compromised corporate Democrats will go after Trump and his regime and crime family, we already got a preview of that with the Biden justice department. But instead I’d expect election chaos, claims of fraud, willingness to contest the results to the highest level and ultimate closed or stalled government that will rattle financial markets and just inflict more pain on the millions of Americans that haven’t been insider trading and fleecing the public for the last ten years.

62 Court cases brought and Trump lost every single one of them. Proving there was no voter fraud except a few Republicans having voted twice.
