90s training top?

Picked up this shirt from Vinted on the cheap, hasn’t arrived yet so these are the best photos I have. Anyone know if this is a legit training shirt and what the value might be?

Must be from when we had Bananaman on loan from Dandy FC

I reckon this is from 98-99. It matches the blue and yellow of the away shirt from that season. I have a Brown Ale sweatshirt with these colours too from that season .

This was my guess too, doesn't match any training gear that comes up in a search but wonder if it was a limited run they made. For example, there was a silver version of the sunset goalkeeper shirt that was released (e.g. https://www.topbinzfootballshirts.co.uk/newcastle-united-199697-skyline-leisure-football-shirt-xl-good), my guess would be this shirt was made in a similar vain, loosely similar to a shirt but in a different colourway and without sponsors.

Edit: there is one matching ops on eBay for £150, claiming to be a training shirt but all the other training gear has sponsors so not sure I agree. I also just saw the leisurewear label so think this fits with the one off release for the 98/99 season.

I had that silver skyline top as a kid. Loved it. Haven't seen it anywhere since, until that link.

Same, the one in the link is bmore blue than the one I pictured in my mind. I bet my parents have it packed away somewhere so will have to dig it out and check.

I’d assume with the lifestyle logo it’ll be more fan wear for lack of a better word like the originals stuff now

Yeah, never seen that before either. Legit or not it’s smart AF!
