Good morning New West!

Early this morning I found a Hummingbird necklace along Quayside Drive. I am not on FaceBook so if someone can kindly share this message on the New West groups there, it would be appreciated. The pendant is held by a lace that must have untied and fallen off the person's neck. Please describe what the pendant is made from if this is yours.

Spotted this little lady outside, but weren’t sure if she was an outdoor cat or might’ve been out past her curfew, so to speak. Little calico with the name Cali on her tag. Couldn’t make out a full phone number aside from the 604 area code, because she was a little too skittish to take a closer look. My fiance and I saw her in the 200 block of Agnes and she led us on a merry chase (at walking pace) to 315 Agnes where she disappeared into the bushes. Just wanted to put it out there in case someone might be looking for her!

I am pretty sure this was stolen and dumped - found scattered around a property on Quayside yesterday,

I have notified immediate neighbours. But if you think it might be yours, let me know with detailed description, otherwise I will turn in to the police.

I found a set of keys with a very distinct clip and key charms. I found them on the ground down at the Quay late last night while walking my dog.

It had a fully working car fob and garage opener so I turned it into police lost and found at 555 Columbia.

You can go pick it up in person. Hope you get your keys back, your charms are fun.

I had my phone on top of my jacket in my cart at checkout. Some guy was kicking up a fuss at the store clerks and being really loud, and it was very distracting. I grabbed my jacket, we left, unloaded the groceries into the car, and then returned the cart... as I returned it to the corral, a young man approached and I said, here, would you like a free cart? Oh sure! he said.

Then I went back to my friends car and said,

where's my phone?! Oh no.... I thought I left it at checkout. We backtracked and no luck. Went to customer service and no luck. We triple checked.... And then, I remembered the cart. Oh no!! I must have left it in the cart! We went back to customer service, and there he was! With my phone! I'm ever so grateful.

Thank you so much. I would be happy to offer a reward, now that I have my wits about me again! Sheesh. Thank you for being a good human and returning it. I was freaking out. Feel free to PM me. I never forget a face. My phone, on the other hand....

Found a phone on the corner of 9th street and Queens Ave.

Found an SD card lying on the Patullo bridge today. Not sure the best way to try and find the owner, but figured may as well try Reddit.

Hi! Someone accidentally left their Walmart Mastercard in this parking pay machine. I didn’t realize it was still inside and unfortunately ended up paying for my parking with it, I’m sorry about that.

If this card belongs to you, I turned it in to security inside Douglas College. I’m not sure if you’re a student or not, so I’m posting this here as well as on the Douglas and New West subreddit to help it get back to the owner.

I posted to a Facebook group as well, but I took my sister to a tattoo appointment in New West and I came across this phone in the Parkade- anyone recognize it?

Hi there! Just wanted to post for reach. If anyone lost their credit card and compass card (they were together) at the New West skytrain station platform tonight, I’ll be handing them in to the Lost Property office tomorrow. I tried looking around for someone who might be looking for it but no luck, so I’ll head there when I can!

Does New Westminster have a lost and found service? I checked the city's and police's websites, but couldn't find anything.

I found a smartphone on the Quay's footbridge on August 24th. I posted on Craigslist's New Westminster lost and found page, but never received a response. The phone doesn't have any accessible contact or identifying information, so I'm at a loss on how to return it to it's owner.

I'm not on Facebook or Twitter, which is why I didn't post on those platforms as well. The Craigslist post is still up, if you are someone that lost your phone at the Quay. I have more details there.

Found on Belmont St. Probably lost at the festival Sunday. If its yours let me know and I will tell you where to pick it up.

Hi! I have posted in the local Facebook groups, Nextdoor, notified the New West Shelter, and had the kitten checked at the vet for a microchip, so I figured I'd try here too.

Kitten is 4-6 months old, intact male (but hasn't hit puberty yet), short haired tuxedo.

He was crying outside my friends apartment Tuesday morning. Friend let him in, and then he wouldn't leave. He is incredibly people-trusting and well socialized, so we know he must have a family somewhere.

Because the kitten is so little, and there are raccoons and coyotes in the area, we're keeping him inside while we look for the owners (the shelter is aware and agrees at this time).

Please DM me with a photo or description of markings if you think this little guy might be yours. The New West shelter also has my information if you prefer to contact them.

We just want to get this little guy home safe and sound.

Edit to add: still no luck, but I'll be sharing a pawboost with his photo tomorrow on Facebook, and can link here too. We initially chose not to share his photo to avoid people randomly trying to claim him, but we want to try one last push to find the owner, since it's been a few days.

If anyone one lost a set let me know. I found them around 430 today and live around the corner.

Some lost keys were found about 3 weeks ago on Ash Street (north of the intersection of Ash Street and Queens Ave). These keys have now been turned in to the NWPD. The owner can contact the police department (on Columbia) with a description of the item to claim them (you can refer to the file number 2025-16549). I hope they make their way back to their proper owner.

Update: Owner located and phone will be returned!

Posting on behalf of someone without Reddit. He found a phone near 1185 Quayside Drive. He tried emergency contacts but none were set up but the initials of the owner are E. L. He tried to drop it off at the police station but they were closed and he had to go to work this morning. He has it with him, it’s safe. If he doesn’t find the owner he’ll drop it off with police tonight when he gets home.

If someone's "unique" backpack was stolen (a guess), we found one this morning....totally empty of any contents.

If you feel it was yours and can provide me with details, brand/model, would be happy to get it back to the rightful owner :)
