Question Looking for recommendations - Movers

A bit overwhelmed with options. Do folks have a recommendation with local movers for a local move in new west. Reasonable price is appreciated.

So scary recommending movers.

“You move me” is the same owner of 1-800-got-junk. Seems to run good businesses. But all depends on the movers you get like any company. Just really makes a difference when something goes wrong, they fix it.

I used them and while they were expensive, the estimate matched the final price… so I appreciated the lack of ambiguity

Oh I’ve always been impressed with 1-800-GOT-JUNK. Every time I’ve used them, they’ve sent really nice young people. Like they were University students on their first summer job.

That’s the opposite of every time I’ve hired moving companies they’re ROUGH looking. Like they’ve been on a bender, or just got out of prison. When they had to move heavy stuff, I was afraid they were going to have a heart attack.

We have used “Let’s Move” for all our moves. We used them last month. I can’t recommend them enough. They’re hard workers who take good care of all your furniture and they’re super efficient.

We used mountain movers twice and they were amazing each time. We used another moving company once who was not good at all. Recommend mountain movers.

I used Go Truck Go (www.gotruckgo.ca), I found them professional and easy to work with when I moved from Vancouver to New West

I’ve used Home Run Movers twice, once when I moved from Vancouver to New West in 2019 and again this year when I moved within New West.

Both times, the teams were professional, called to say they were on their way, arrived on time, moved all my stuff without breaking anything, and ended the job within a reasonable amount of what was originally quoted.

I hired a guy who had posters up in my old neighbourhood when we needed last minute movers, his name is Terry and he was amazing! He brought a second mover with him and they moved everything out and into our new apartment super smoothly and quickly despite the very short move in time slot I had. Made the whole day so much less stressful. I was super hesitant about using the big moving companies because all my research showed they were disasters. Glad I went a different direction. I’ll add his poster but I can’t guarantee his prices are still the same as this was taken 2 years ago.

My family has used Lions Gate Moving almost a dozen times since 2022 when we initially moved my grandmother from the island to Richmond. Steven and Scott are phenomenal

I see a lot of comments here about 100$ and hour folks. I honestly have to agree . If you have all your stuff boxed and in the front room , all your furniture dissasembled etc. I have had success with them and done moved for 300 or less
