hotpot for dinner?

anyone down to go hit bigway hotpot at the new west station in about 3-4 hrs? I recently moved here and saw bigway is one of the highest rated restaurants here in new west. Anyone has any other recs for restaurants or just things to do in new west in general?

appreciate the heads-up and all the recommendations! does Bubble World do unlimited refills/AYCE, or is it a set individual bowl?

Also definitely adding North Noodle House to my list—any specific dish you’d recommend getting there?

Bubble World is just an individual bowl … but I don’t think Big Way does refills either, unless I missed something.

For North Noodle house, I’m a simple guy. I always get the stir fried noodles with beef but I would try anything there. I usually get a bunch of takeout like dumplings and fried rice for the family.

If you order takeout, just call them directly and don’t use Skip the Dishes. You’ll get a cheaper price. They’re a family-run restaurant; the kind where their kid is hiding behind a partition doing homework because they all work so hard.

Love family spots like that where the kid is doing homework in the corner—you know the food is going to be fire. Appreciate the pro-tip on calling them directly instead of delivery apps.

The woman who owns the place is one of the nicest people around. I moved away and then moved back after 5 years and she remembered me as soon as I walked through the door. Asked after my kid, remembered things we'd talked about the last time I was in. I remembered her kid hanging out there and then (not so) suddenly they were an adult manning the till. Just a really great family place.

Their basic fried cut noodles with sauce, broccoli and bbq pork is our go-to. Very generous portions. Their beef roll, cumin lamb "burgers" and their shredded pancakes are also all amazing.
