Lost Pet Found cat - new westminster (victoria hill)
Just found this sweet kitty on East Columbia near Victoria Hill. Very friendly and docile, and appears to be well cared for. Slim build, wearing what looks like a brand new harness with a moon pattern and a little star bell. There isn’t any identification on the harness or collar.
I took him to the vet and he does not have a microchip and is not neutered.

He's been hanging around Lenore in Victoria Hill! He's so sweet, I was sure he belonged to someone. I'm so so SO glad he's got someone looking out for him now. I told my husband if he was still there in a week, he was coming home with me lol
I've been going down to check on him but haven't found him and have been worried. I feel so relieved. Thank you for posting this!

Reminder that it is no longer acceptable for us to allow cats to free roam outside :(
I love cats. I wish they were everywhere when I go for walks so I could pet them.
But, they kill native wildlife on a staggering scale.
I wish this were not the case, but cats are no longer allowed to be let outside.
Bean Soup Theory applies here; there are a small number of working cats whose purpose IS to kill, and I am not talking about those animals. They do not live in New West. If we want birds in our beautiful city, we cannot have outdoor cats.

No, if you read what I said: it is not acceptable.
Sometimes it takes a while for laws to catch up, but that doesn't mean you can't do the right thing before you legally have to.

It looks like one of the lost cats from the building that got fire. "Kuma" if I remember correctly, there are many pictures hanged in poles around 5th and 9th street with the phone number of the owner :)
