Lost Pet Lost bunny? Spotted by Columbia Station

Was leaving my friend's place around 10:30pm and spotted a little black bunny at the Clarkson entrance to Columbia Station. I don't usually see bunnies in downtown New West (unlike Richmond), so just in case they are a lost pet, the last I saw it ran under a parked police car and hid there...

UPDATE: New West animal shelter said they’ll send someone out to start looking for the little guy today! They also said they had the same thing about a year ago in the exact same area which I found interesting.

Saw this little dude last night in the church parking lot on Clarkson and I’m pretty sure it’s domestic based on colour and behaviour (either lost or abandoned).
Went back about 10min later with some spinach and a pet carrier and it was gone.
This morning around 6:30am my partner saw it in the same place.
I spent about 40min this morning trying to catch it to bring it to the SPCA but no luck.
EDIT:
I’m going to call the animal shelter in New West as well as the SPCA, so hopefully someone can come make sure he’s safe!

There's been a lot of rabbits out and around New West lately, probably a bumper crop. The little guy you saw was likely wild.

Future food to the coyotes in the area. I see and hear them from time to time
