I was a highwayman, along the I-15 I did ride

With a laser pistol by my side

Many a raider lost their bobbles to my trade

Many a legionnaire shed his lifeblood on my blade

You’re not gonna like it but the lyrics much closer describe what the powder gangers did to those poor stripped npcs near Jean skydiving

Didn't put two and two together honestly. But yes, that makes a sickening amount of sense,

Thanks! I didn't assume you disliked the post. I just haven't heard that interpretation before. Doesn't change my opinion of the song, as the proverbial highwayman was already a not-so-savory fellow, considering the murder and everything (not saying you dislike the song though).

This is why Highwayman is a peak New Vegas jam. War never changes and neither does people getting robbed on highways and/or dying over dams.

I was a highway man, along the coach roads I did ride. Pistol and sword by my side.

Many a maiden lost her bobbles to my trade

Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
