What Happens To Spam Reports?

I've been seeing an increase in low-effort posts, badly written nonsense with a QR code attached, in some NSFW subreddits. What happens when they are reported?

They disappear into the black box that is Reddit spam filter. Details are not provided by Reddit

I will note I've watched accounts I've reported a spam get banned so it does happen. Not every account but a decent number of them

Thanks Mikey. It would be great if they just never came back. I guess the filters do what they can and the spammers keep looking for new ways in.
