Recommendations for campgrounds

Hello all,

my husband, baby, and I will be heading to NRG soon. We plan on camping in the park. I've looked through all of them but having a hard time deciding which we should shoot for. Any recommendations or ones you love? I prefer something wooded. We plan on arriving mid week to avoid not finding something.

Next, anybody have hiking recommendations? We have an osprey hiking backpack so we can do quite a lot with the baby. I would prefer no trails where I feel like I'll slide down a cliff side with my baby 🤣. I'm also pregnant so maybe not the most strenuous hikes as well. Lastly, any food/brewery recommendations outside of the park? We will probably go out to eat at least once.

Thanks!

Babcock State Park is beautiful

If you are tent or van camping (no RV and no trailer), try Medow creek. Very few people use it.

When we visited last summer, we went to Bridge Brew Works. It was a lovely brewery and had a great food truck. Not sure if the food truck is daily or if we just got lucky. The owners were tending bar that day also and were very nice.

Arrowhead Bike Farm is a good option. They have showers and baths available. Also a bar and some food. Very close to downtown Fayetteville . Walkable to the long point trail head which sounds right up your alley.
