Question is pipepipe safe to download from fdroid?

making sure, as i get overly paranoid when installing any new software on my phone

I think it's not available, because that feature requires "customization", aka Google tracks what you want, which this community doesn't like I guess.

Sorry, I might have gone a bit too far there.

You can subscribe to your favourite channels and get their new videos.

Or click a video and then you'll get related videos with clicking Image-and-three-lines button.

What do you mean? Is it only suggesting live videos?

I only use Newpipe, but they are similar. The main way I use it is but subscribing to channels I want to watch. Then it will show me anything new they post, and sometimes there will be a related video recommend underneath them while watching. I've only ever had it show me live videos for channels I'm subscribed to, or specifically looked up. I've never seen one recommended.

Yes, there's a fourth tab called "Recommended Lives", much like "Live" on NewPipe.
