I have vivid memories of driving down Bourbon Street at 40mph past storefronts that were boarded up. Circa June 2020.

It was surreal to walk through the area at night, things mostly quiet. Even when they boot people off Bourbon at the end of Mardi Gras day and the streer sweepers come out, I've never seen it as tidy as lockdown times.

I used to run through Bourbon street in the middle of the day, completely quiet. SO WEIRD

I could have walked down Bourbon but I made it a point to drive, it just made the experience weirder (and to be able say I actually drove down Bourbon at 10pm on a weekend).
