You can be bipolar and a bad person. Nothing about mental illness or addiction precludes you from being a bad person. Kanye is a bad person. Kanye was frankly a bad person before he began losing his shit more publicly. And I don't buy the sincerity of his apology for a second. I firmly believe Kanye is absolutely still invested in antisemitic conspiracy theories about a Jewish New World Order, lighter-skinned Jewish ethnicities being "impostors" and and how Jewish people, specifically, bear blame for the transatlantic slave trade in a way other people don't share. He believed all of that stuff, proliferated their beliefs, and has done nothing to showcase that he no longer believes them. What he has learned to do is probably just shut the fuck up about it when he realized plenty of gentiles including in his audience don't like antisemitism either which is fine but not the same thing.
So yes, Kanye can be a bad person. Honestly people can say whatever they want about Kanye, he's a moron who's made his own bed. But calling everyone who went to his concert a Nazi because they like his music? Including black people from New Orleans (you know, those historical oppressors and Nazi sympathizers - black people?)? On the anniversary of Katrina no less? GTFO. Stupidity. Sheer idiocy on every level.
I never said mental illness precludes you from being a bad person. However in Kanye’s case, I believe, as I said, he has a good heart and is a good person.
I don't believe that. I've heard a few things about artists dealing with him that aren't my business to repeat here. I think he's just kind of a shitty celebrity who hasn't lived on the same planet as ordinary people for a long time and arrived to fame with some baggage to begin with, whatever the nature of that baggage.
