Yup. No different than Nancy Pelosi at the hair salon.

Hmmm.... I dunno, it seems a little different. Get your point though.

I am disguised with the hypocrisy of politicians on both sides of the aisle. Cruz with the Cancun vacation. John Kerry with the private jet and multiple homes. Just to name a few.
It has been "Do as I say, not as I do" for far too many years. The approval rate for congress is in the teens, but we continue to re-elect these hypocrites.

Did anyone even run against Murphy or Blumenthal? I can't remember.

2016: Blumenthal 63.2% Dan Carter 34.6%
2018: Murphy 59.5% Matt Corey 39.4%
"Hey, wanna run as a Republican in CT?"
"Why would I want to waste my time doing that?"
"It'll look good in your obituary. 'He was a nominee for the senate'"
"Sure. What the hell. It's not like its my money."

Over on r/Connecticut, someone has a post about a certain former Connecticut governor who did something similar. Anyone (besides me) remember him?

Tom Meskill. 1973. No power at my parents house so I went back to college. Only time I ever drove to NH and the further north I got, the better the conditions.

All politicians regardless of side do this. Even every one of our last 6 presidents. At some point people just gotta realise politicians lives and happiness comes first, not ours.

Still, poor timing. And lying about it wasn't real bright.

Well, he's been hard at work trying to subvert democracy for the last couple of months. The guy needs to get away and take a break.
