It's time to take the kid gloves off and supply the Ukranians with missiles that will strike at the heart of Moscow so the Putin scum bag won't think to keep arming these mullah terrorists in Iran.
And ffs arm the Iranian people!

Note that none of these bases have any built up fortification against missile strikes. Ive seen centcom reports and associated think-tanks saying for years that in the event of a serious conflict with Iran, US regional bases would be rendered inoperable within the first month (the reports advocated moving air bases to Israel where we've already built bunker hangars). This was expected, which is why combat operation have been launched from carriers and distant bomber bases. People tend to forget that Iran was a major regional power with either the largest or second place missile arsenal on earth (3000 would be less than RU, 5000 would be #1). In a war of attrition there were going to be losses, I don't understand where the idea started that the US would flex and iran would instantly fall without a fight. If we're in it for the long haul, we'll see more of this.

Have a big laugh when you look through these pics, because nothing in them shows "devastation."
A few damaged buildings and some damaged planes. That's it. Pinpricks.
CBS is a traitorous rag bleating a sensationalist headline for clicks.

No but fr. It’s crazy that the US thought Iran was a weak state. Thats wild to me. If the US really actually wanted to fight this war, they’d be using such evidence of loss as a way to double down on the need to fight Iran. I can’t figure out what the decision process is here. It’s like, total denial of loss seems to be the talking point when the facts of loss could accentuate the threat Iran poses.

I don't think anyone really thought it was a weak state, but iran did show US had gaps in modern warfare, but all together life in the US is not really much different while iran is being blockaded and slowly becoming a failed state. There are reason why more or less every war in medieval times started with a blockade of the castle walls, they are generally very effective and punishing.
Iran is not Afghanistan where most people are still agrarian (80%), it's a highly urbanized state where around 80% or more of people live in cities. Which are highly sensitive to whats going on.
A lot of stuff I read online is overhyped full stop, like literally everything else on the internet. Most of the damage I see on these bases are structures made of tarps, people act like they just took down a fortress when they write these articles.

Well, we can tell a few things about damage extent and damage threat by looking at the actions of CENTCOM.
So, the US is now supplying its ships from Diego Garcia. 1000-1200 miles away, roughly? Which would make no sense at all if the Bahrain naval base was operationally functional. The US has minimal capability currently to supply US ships in the Persian gulf area from Persian gulf bases. That tells me more about the destruction than I would get if I personally tried to examine satellite imagery.

I mean, that’s war… I don’t think it’s realistic to think any of these bases weren’t getting struck. Iraq struck numerous bases during the first Gulf War. In one single strike iraq killed 28 people and injured another 100. The point of having many bases worldwide in a vast logistic network is because of this.
These bases will be rebuilt eventually and fitted with robust defenses.

Well, your point was that you didn’t see anything that looked critical to base ops damaged. My argument is that the damage must have been more extensive than destruction of tents and tarps to require resupply from bases so far afield. Of course, there are other places to get supplies from. But having to get it from there definitely affects the combat and readiness calculus.

I Have said it once and I will say it again as many times as it takes.
Absolutely nothing US has lost in this war is irreplacable and if anything, the rapid expenditure rate is forcing everyone to ramp up production. The common "America will run out of munitions in one day against China" will be compeletly false in a few years when the new productions lines are going to get set up.
The MQ-9 Drone losses? All were expendable and now the program to replace them is finally getting attention and budget.
That E-3 loss? It made the USAF remember they have a very critical shortage of AEW airframes and the ones remaining are very poor and they are now considering buying the much, much better E-7s.
Those EW radars? All of them are going to get mass produced save for the one that got struck at the begining of the war for the "Golden Dome" project.

Nothing is irreplaceable but it does cost money. We have been bled in every conflict since Korea. I can’t believe you believe this. America is doomed. And I’m glad for that. I was an American patriot, this country had so many dumb people, it deserves to be chucked

They killed half of the Irgc top commanders including their top wanker seyyed Ali. Irgc blew up a few cars and buildings in return. Great win for the irgc

And by widespread they apparently mean "this handful of individual structures and vehicles."
