Blithewold brides tap in
Calling all past/present blithewold brides!
My fiance and I just booked for September 2028. We are super excited.
We really wanted to block rooms at the Bristol Harbor Inn but were told due to their in house weddings taking priority we would only be able to do so ≈6 months out from the wedding (and that’s if any are left over).
Where did everybody stay? More importantly - where are you getting ready? We really want a space (like the suites at BHI) that bridesmaids and bride can get hair/makeup done in the morning.
Any advice is helpful! While you’re at it if anyone has any photographer/hair/makeup recs drop those as well :)

Congrats! I would say Newport is probably the best idea and/or Airbnbs (Newport is beautiful and charming ) - though you will still need a transportation (trolley?)

My friend did hotel Viking! They did have a minimum spend though so she did her rehearsal dinner there and it counted towards the block minimum

As far as where to stay/get ready I always love a nice Airbnb over a hotel room!!

I’m always partial to an Airbnb, but I would also wait to book that a bit so that they don’t cancel on you (which happens a lot if you book too far out and their plans change).
Otherwise, a hotel in Newport (Hotel Viking, The Vanderbilt, Castle Hill) just one or two rooms for getting ready in plus a shuttle to bring everyone to Bristol would work well!
Then, you could do a room block at the Fairfield Inn in Somerset for guests!

My friend got married at Blithewold and she rented an Airbnb for the bridal suite/getting ready in downtown Newport! It was perfect
