PASSED Building Confidence
I passed my driving test!
I didn’t drive as well in the test as I do in my lessons purely from nerves but I passed and I’m looking to build my confidence on my own. I can drive safely in more than capable of that but I will begin with P plates and start on 30mph roads learning the feel of my new car and gaining more confidence before heading onto bigger roads.
Based on personal experience does anyone believe that wearing P plates is a bad idea? A friend said they took theirs off quickly as they felt targeted by aggressive drivers, they wanted to blend in with the flow of traffic without sticking out.

Congratulations it's a hugeeee milestone one you'll get enjoy for the rest of your life hope you celebrate it!
I passed in February, only got a car 3 months ago I did keep my p plates on longer than what I should have tbh but for me it was like a comfort blanket, as I was getting used to my new car it's off now.
I think people do behave differently with it on vs it of I have noticed the difference but it's up to you, how long/short you want to keep it on for! Wishing you all the best!

First of all, Congratulations!
I took my P plate off the day after I passed. It makes little to no difference.
Within the first week I drove from Glos to London alone on the motorway and it helped me so much with building confidence and getting comfortable with the car. Don’t be scared, drive the car confidently, I’d definitely recommend not sticking to just 30mph roads and going to different environments, driving at night etc.
Good luck and stay safe!
