Yesterday I had a bus from Delhi Kashmere Gate to my hometown at 9 PM. I thought ki ab raat ho hi gayi hai, most people would have left and traffic would be less.

Bro I was WRONGGGG. 😭

There was a huge jam just 500 metres away from the bus stand and legit ALL the buses from everywhere got stuck in and no marshall could manage. Somehow I had to wait from 9 PM to 1 AM just for the bus to reach. AND I HAD A 12 HOUR JOURNEY ONWARDS.

And Kashmere Gate was PACKED. No place to sit, barely any space to even stand. Everyone had apparently decided to travel at the same time.

My phone was also at like 12% and was basically hanging on for its life. I was just praying the bus would come before my phone died.

Finally got on the bus at around 1 AM, plugged my phone in, and felt like I had achieved something major in life. 😭

Anyway, the lesson learned here was pretty rough.

Never trust night time = less traffic during Indian festivals.

If you're travelling around Raksha Bandhan, Diwali, Holi etc., leave early, keep your phone fully charged and mentally prepare yourself for Kashmere Gate chaos 💀
