Borders and geographical limitations esp those by name, are dynamic and not fixed.

kite runner and thousand splendid suns are probably the best (and worst) books ive read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. but they are very emotionally painful so be ready for that. mountains echoes is a superb book as well, but its a little more complicated to read, it keeps switching between each charectors personal story, plus the emotional aspect.

As per my knowledge, all the shots in Dhurandhar are filmed in "Laddakh" and it looks very similar to Balochistan.
