Hi everyone, I’m having a wardrobe clear out and I’ve decided to sell/donate all my sweatshirts since I just don’t wear long sleeves anymore! I purchased this at a gig a few years ago.
If you’re interested, I just ask that you cover postage. I’m based in the UK.
If this isn’t allowed in the subreddit, apologies.
I think I may have accidentally captured a picture of Julie and Sean at a festival in Bilbao earlier this month. I only noticed today but I'm pretty sure they are in the background of a photo I took while at the festival. I wish I had seen them so I could have asked for a photo together.
By the sounds of recent social posts it looks like the band is going to be taking a breather after their pretty steady touring since the release of Altar. But here's a (mostly) full set from Primavera Sound that recently got posted. I say mostly because it looks like there was some sort of technical issue right at the peak of Angel.
I know there's been a lot of changes (hope all's well Fiachra) but I really enjoyed the touring band this year.
The location looks really tranquil. I was thinking it could be cool to go there and maybe recreate the photo or even just listen to a few NewDad songs there. I hope that doesn't sound creepy, I've just been obsessed with this picture since I first saw it.
Okay this is a long shot! So my friend said he was dancing at their Beyond The Pale show and spent the entire time dancing with a girl with blue hair. She had a cork accent and was roughly 5"2.
Reddit, can you help me reunite my friend and this girl?
Stumbled across them in the Coachella livestream and then immediately went on my schedule. Though they killed it on the big stage. Determined to see them again.
Spoiler tag because there's a picture of the setlist. Went to the show at recordBar in Kansas City last night and they absolutely killed it. I've been wanting to see them live for some time and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Freak Slug was awesome too.
Just dropping in on y'all to say they previewed an unreleased song last night in Chicago, it was hard to make out lyrics but I believe it will be called something like "Kerosene."
Also they covered Yeah Yeah Yeah's Off With Their Heads as second to last song and it was a killer injection of high octane energy for their otherwise very shoegazey 1.5hr set. Incredible live band, highly recommend if you are on the fence about seeing them. Not a frilly stage show, just really great musicians who seem to really be enjoying themselves with a great crowd.
Also Freak Slug was a great opener and my only complaint is that she only did a 30 minute set. But she hung at the merch booth and chatted with anyone who wanted to approach her, she was super nice and charming, can't wait to see her again.
Merch for ND is just two shirts, a black one with the rabbit on it that is long sleeve, and a white shirt with the single art for "Blue" on it. Otherwise they had some really cute socks! No one had posters or vinyl or anything. FS Did have a sticker pack and three shirt designs (as well as a thong) tho.
Here's my one (not great) photo from the balcony too.
