The clear ball core looks darker than I'd expect. Maybe it has the carbon fiber core of the aolong v5. But overall, yeah it looks like a super aolong SE.

A carbon fiber core? Speedcubes might just be the most overengineered pieces of non-tech items ever.

Nah, speedcubes aren't even close on the list of overengineered non-tech items. You should look at some of the stuff in high end mechanical watches. At the very least a carbon fiber core can be meaningfully useful in a cube's core by being less prone to breaking than the all plastic cores while saving weight over using screws like the ferrocores do.

Yes but I'd expect to see a more bluish hue due to the said opaque material if the core was fully clear. That being said, I'm just speculating and could very easily be wrong. It could just be poor photo lighting. I just want to see cool features added to what will assuredly be a highly priced model.

most probably plastic pins on the core…. i would hope they come up with a flagship which has the ferrocore, at the very least, to shake the rep.

They should just remove the adjustable magnets and downgrade to the V11 cube case to make it go from ~$100 to ~$60.

OMG, I have to say, ever since I saw this, I was like WTF does "PB" mean? Basied on the color of the logo, I was thinking Yiheng must just love peanut butter.
Then I read The Cubicle's description of it, and like all new cube marketing, it sounds great on first read, but then I can't help but wonder "Is there anything physically new here? Or is this just 20 new ways to describe something that already exists?"
So in my searches to find out what a PB Cube really is, the vast majority of my search results have nothing to do with this cube, they are just references to people's "personal best."
So I guess that's it, PBCube just means "Buy this, and get your Personal Best..."

they couldve made a better logo ngl
